Megaupload will come back only if Bitcoins and small stones are an acceptable currency, no major payment processor will bet their brand on him.

Here's a tweet by Kim DotCom that exemplifies the irrational pirate mentality.

Yep, I've seen this, one site is down, one doesn't work and the other few are fairly small fish the majority of their business is transacted through resellers or other payment systems. None of those sites would survive solely on Bitcoin transactions.

fireloading.com
busyfile.com
asdfshare.com
jpfileshare.com
filebeer.info
FileRose.com (again x 20!!!)
FireRapid.net

have all been terminated by Paypal.

migload.com

has been terminated by Moneybookers

ryushare.com

is no longer using Avangate but has moved to a Vietnamese credit card processor, we're escalating that as a merchant violation to Visa and Mastercard.

Any status on Visa/Mastercard coming on board like PayPal? Seems if they were to see all of the evidence they would surely get on track.

I?m still watching this space for big lockers like Rapidgator to go down.

Keep up the good work.

Perhaps ask Paypal ?

We are unable to discuss some things, I understand it's frustrating however it's just the way this stuff works.

Without commenting on any particular site or payment processor I'll comment generally.

There are all sorts of reasons why particular sites we have or will deal with may appear to be processing payments. In some cases there may be unilateral accounts set up which have not received payment, in others there are law enforcement or third party investigations in process, in some we are deliberately letting accounts run in order to build further intelligence or better understanding of payment flow from site to affiliate or site to hosting services.

When I say we can't comment on a particular issue or site it's because we have obligations to third parties or we are dealing with an issue and to shed further light would compromise our activities or ongoing investigations.

Just read your twitter, is it legal for you to be sharing links to pirated software on your twitter account? Seems kinda in the gray area.

Over the past few weeks I've been trying to track down one of my members who has been uploading my Gloryhole Swallow videos to RG and then posting the link on pornbb for all the scabs to download. I finally caught the guy, cancelled his membership and reported him to CCBill fraud. It's a small victory but I'll take it.

Since then, the leeches have been crying like babies on pornbb trying to get my latest updates. It's obvious these guys have more time than money.

One of them posted this the other day:

************************************************** ************
"In the last 12 months we have lost most of the hosting sites, Demonoid has gone,
and here in the UK we can no longer access the Pirate Bay without going through a second party proxy.

I have also noticed a substantial decrease in the postings to usenet, and all of the good username/password boards have disappeared.

We had a good thing going here at a time when everything is going to shit, we have a spy in our midst the thread was destroyed."
************************************************** ************

The thieves aren't happy...

For some of these guys this is their whole life. I'm not talking about Indian up-loaders making a few bucks from downloads, I am talking about early to mid twenties white males from countries like the UK, Australia and USA, often on welfare, more often living at home, spending their entire day ripping, uploading and watching content and using the money they earn from uploading to fund various hobbies such as smoking dope or buying a new video card for their gaming system.

Taking the money away from piracy sites causes them to fail eventually, we now have 56 sites completely shut down. We have others which are either resorting to shaving more money from affiliate up-loaders or who are floundering and at risk of falling over. Up-loaders to some of these sites are in despair, the posts on some of the forums show that for a few users of these sites it's as if their whole world has fallen apart.

We are trying to unravel many years of unchecked piracy, in three months we've caused absolute mayhem for the file locker community and our best work is still in front of us.

Here's another nasty little filelocker apparently ignoring DMCAs (so I have heard from fellow producers until they started hammering their hosting company too)

They are using Paypal to pay pirates and receive their obviously low memberships... looks like they want to take the money and run, hopefully you can make them run just a little sooner!

http://brontofile.com

You have to register and when you do... "voila!"
It's Paypal that only deals in any payments!

There are still plenty of thieves making money off the back of others.
exbii is one of them
When they were blocked off by paypal they quickly set up a sham site to which payment can be made to gain access to stolen content. Check the vesy first paragrapgh
http://www.exbii.com/showthread.php?t=1135522
Look at the loot
http://www.filesquick.com/forumdispl...d=professional
http://www.filesquick.com/forumdispl...prefixid=asian
Upload monkeys are still happily uploading and cashing the loot.

Here is another board that has gone a step ahead by openly accepting paypal to offer direct downloads to paying members
http://forums.urdufunda.net/forum.php
Of course its all stolen content

Hey AK, so does reporting them this way not do much or?

http://corporate.visa.com/about-visa...portBrandAbuse

Its hard to imagine a company such as visa just looking the other way. If you had enough evidence (which you would if that was the case) that visa was ignoring the illegal activity, they could be faced with some serious consequences so its hard to imagine that they would ignore

How is it that sometimes its hard to shut down somebody from visa that you have valid proof that they are breaking many laws

weird why paypal would accept them in the first place you know.

I fear that paypal is just building a lawsuit against you cuz last time I checked, paypal takes a cut for all the transactions and you are interfering with it openly, and it probably hurts their corporate ego that it's some low life porn actor doing it too.

Everything helps I guess, however if the problem were that simple we'd be kicking goals already. I would encourage all rights holders to make noise and make these kind of reports though.

How is it that sometimes its hard to shut down somebody from visa that you have valid proof that they are breaking many laws
Visa and Mastercard are huge worldwide bureaucracies, unfortunately in these cases having proof isn't the same as having substantive evidence.

It's an issue we're progressing however, like everything, it takes time and we're under-resourced.

Well the only way it seems you can really hit a filelocker is by combining forces in an attemp to hit them and the only way to do that is to make a thread regarding the specific threat (filelocker) until its destroyed and move onto the next.

A good example is that Oron thread, somebody simply requested everybody make reports at the same time and it worked.

Couldnt' remember the link to the thread but i brought up this which was made just after the thread was made, it proved to work, even if just a bit.

https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1055219

You could say people have tried in the past but that was the only normal thread that I recall that wasn't just complaining and actually had a plan and requested help

While a general thread regarding your company is great because it gives everybody somewhere to talk about the whole issue at hand. I think if somebody comes across a problem with a filelocker, lets try to make a separate thread out of it and see what we can dig up and do about that one, one filelocker at a time. Possibly supplying a link or place to hit them, like a report link, email address, visa, paypal, etc.

I know many people i talk to daily who would pick up their phones, file a report or send off emails if thats all it takes. When the reports come to paypal or visa once a week/month, they tend to get ignored.

Unfortunately it's not just a case of filing a report, if it were we'd have impacted many more sites than the 54 or so which are down and the now 516 that have had one or more forms of payment processing terminated.

Firstly, most of what we do cannot be done in public. To conduct our operations in public would simply undermine our efforts and let the bad guys stay one step ahead. It would also jeopardise any law enforcement or third party actions that might be taking place.

Secondly, for some sites we have had to gather information and evidence for months in order to have an outcome, making this public would again compromise the process.

I really want people to understand that no payment processor is going to shut down a site just because we email them and ask them to.

The processes we undertake are complex, time consuming, forensic and ultimately a lot of hard work.

I wasn't implying thats what you do instead, nor was I implying that it will work for alot of the cases.

I am suggesting that while you do what you do, the rest of GFY can do something else. No companies like heat and when you have a forum full of webmasters reporting illegal activity at the same time, it can actually help.

I would think you would be all for the idea instead of suggesting that they can't do much. Your business was formed around one person who wanted to make things harder for them

It will definitely help to make some noise and to send as many DMCAs as possible to file locker's billing companies and/or VISA/MC. Having a number of DMCAs on file will help Copycontrol to push billing companies harder to terminate file lockers, and it may also trigger a repeat infringer termination policy on it's own, even without CC doing anything specific in regard to said file locker who got one DMCA too many.

Here is the thread with links to site rips:
https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1081491

Their main file lockers are Extabit and Ryushare, so let's focus on these two for starter. They both use Avangate and Ryushare also uses OnePay.vn, e-mails to send DMCAs to are:

info(at)avangate.com
risk(at)onepay.vn
cc your DMCAs to infringements(at)copycontrol.org

You can help the cause by orchestrating this effort - bumping this thread, posting links to more piracy sites where links can be found, contacting copyright holders who have their sites ripped and having them to send DMCAs etc. AK has his hands full of other tasks, and if you feel that sending DMCAs and making noise will help, you can just do it. No need to ask for approval - whether billing companies like it or not, sending DMCAs is what copyright owners are allowed (and expected) to do by law, at any time they want. There is no guarantee that it will help of course, but it will certainly not hurt either.

I have to admit, this is the greatest thread on gfy, beating spacedog's famous bot-chat and the funny gif threads as well.

Keep Up the Good Work & GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Why not add ipinquiries(at)mastercard.com and Inquiries(at)visa.com to the CC list of every takedown request sent where those cards are being used? If you?re going to strike you need to strike hard and copy everyone involved.

This information is in the IFFOR report that was posted a week or so back.

It seems as of this morning, Upsto.re is the new "preferred host" at the KK forum. Previously was Rapidgator, and oron before that.
