Great links thank you. I especially like this comment from the first one :
« The New Republic-always the class act-decided to respond with a character assassination piece. »

I freely admit that there was a time that the Internet confused me. (It is because of my age) But I have learned a lot in a short time and I freely admit to thinking that the new form of business marketing is character assasination. ** I was wrong **

The Internet is just one of many different forms of product delivery methods available. It has some advantages compared to old methods and it has some disadvantages. But just because we have a new way to bring our products to market does not mean that time tested business practices and principals are obsolete. In fact they are more relevant than ever before.

I have more than 4 decades of experience in this field and in business. One thing that holds true even today is that character assasination is the tool of those that are engaged in screwing over others for their profits and it is also the tool of last resort of those that are desperate, usually a failing business.

Whereas a business person that does pays their employees a fair wage, creates a product of quality to the best of their ability and adhears to their promises does not need anyone to promote them. Because over time loyalty and trust always build.

So yes there is a corporate agenda behind the « save the Internet » gang. Because anyone truely intersted in freedom would just pull the plug. Real revolutionnaires meet in person and not on IRC and they certainly do not hide behind Guy Fawkes masks manufactured by Time Warner.

And believe me when I say that illegally downloading any of my films is not going to create a new more juste society. All it does it lower how much I pay my employees.

The current approach by content producers / owners to fighting piracy is the equivalent of a bank that stores all its money in the parking lot.

Then, when people come by and steal it they say the solution is to try and make stealing "more illegal".

While it's working out great for certain business models on both sides of the issue and helping people who want to further a "police state" / "1984" society in the long term it's doomed to fail.
Are you saying it's legal or less of a crime to steal something that can't be stolen?

If freedom means stealing what ever can be stolen, then you can keep your freedom. But it doesn't, you're you're just bitching because your favourite file locker got busted and won't get paid.

Those last sites who lost biller was so new, that I not knew any of their names yet.
So the average life time of a new file locker domain it is now how long, a week? a month?

Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they haven't been around for a while.

While one or two are relatively new some sites manage to fly beneath the radar fairly well, they are just as much of a problem as the bigger sites.

The piracy eco-system is huge, much larger than any one person can wrap their head around.

For several other link-protectors such as share-links.biz and socadvnet use this website:
http://linkdecrypter.com/

I'd also highly recommend using jDownloader to enhance your anti-piracy efforts. It can check whether the links are active or were removed for most of the tubes and file lockers, which helps alot if you have to send lots of DMCAs. Instead of checking all links manually you can simply copy them into the clipboard, jDownloader will intercept them and check - if there are any links that were not removed you can easily export them and send new DMCAs.
http://jdownloader.org/download/index

There is also a very useful Firefox plugin called Rapidshare links checker. It will check links on the fly for a wealth of file lockers (not only Rapidshare) and will add red/green circles next to each link to indicate whether it is active or not.
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9467
http://jdownloader.org and http://linkdecrypter.com/ both aren't working for me when it comes to http://protected.socadvnet.com

First attempt, copy file name and use google:
http://www.google.com/search?q=nbe-20121028p.rar

First result is the correct lumfile url.

(obviously not the best way, but works at least for this one)

better method:
1. open the link in chrome
2. right click anywhere on the lumfile area and select "view frame source"
3. check the address bar. (view-source:http://lumfile.com/cw6op68q40vt/nbe-20121028p.rar.html)
4. done

For the love of God, how long does it take for Webair to respond to a DMCA? 9 days and counting. Longest I've come across yet.

Vous ętes formidable !!!!!!
I lack the english volcabulaire to describe the level that this site has disrupted my sales. I caught a store buying my product directly from the gypsies last month.

If you have an annonymous donation link I will send you stop file lockers a little christmas gift.

Thank you once again for your efforts.

You can make donations on the Stop File Lockers website using the Chip In widget or via Paxum to [email protected]
