A question regarding affiliates

Alright so I have some mainstream interests all of a sudden. Is it necessary that I keep those programs (adult and non-adult) completely separate? I know a lot of non-adult affiliate programs do not want to be lumped in with adult ones but I am deferring to you all to some extent. What do you think?

That's kind of different but a good question. Also I think if they are both successful you have more to lose, but a front man might be able to give you a lot of help if in fact one was losing money and or you owned a porn biz of some type that was losing money and a mattress company or perfume company that was also losing money at the same time cause a lot of companies are getting hurt in this economy right now.

Again don't fix things that ain't broke, but dont' necessarily operate in protocal cause that's what everyone does and can do. You need something not the same.

That's bullshit too. I even have a few mainstreams merged in a wp multisite set up with the main domain being porn and it's no different than when it was in just mainstream. If anything it is better.

Safe search filters entire domains once they pass a certain number of porn flagged pages. You can slowly add "dirty" keywords to your sites pages and watch it happen. I'm also leaning towards the idea that the number of porn flagged pages effects domain trust and domain authority, but this cannot be proven.

It's been fun, but I give up.

What's funny is this would happen on any mainstream site that anything got offensive on which happened on my bikini site that was selling bathing suits cause they consider the images porn.

There are many possibilities. You can promote something like T-Shirt Hell on adult sites, you can promote various mainstream lingerie sponsors on tasteful adult sites with art nudes type content, Vivid Superheroes parodies on sites geared toward a comic book person type target, other types pf parodies to relevant category specific mainstream targets, sex toys, duty free, etc.

Also note that search traffic is not the only type of traffic. As one of the other guys up above probably alluded to in some fashion, if you're trying to rank for cheap toaster ovens but put a bunch of gaping anal tranny porn, there's a chance you might not rank so well for 'cheap toaster ovens'. With that being said, if you find a way to combine the two in a unique and humorous way, there's the possibility of getting a decent amount of fresh, non-adult referral traffic which is probably more valuable than adult search traffic anyway.
