We need guns to defend ourselves and in the process we are arming the same people we want to protect ourselves from.

do you think automatic weapons should be available for home protection though? Not stirring up shit or setting you up here. I feel similar to you with regards to home protection but was curious what a vet's view would be with that.

2nd Amendment isn't for home protection or hunting, it's for the people's last resort against tyranny should it ever arise in this country.
