The Wire is best show ever, but this is pretty dam close. I think they r going to go out with a bang tonight. Looks like Walt is going to kill the 9 guys then set up more dominance on everyone. I think they really want us to hate him more and more so we start rooting for Jesse.

vince gilligan describes walter as mr. chips turns into scarface or something like that.

and sure enough season 5 = act 3 of scarface, walter is no longer the guy we all rooted for, he's a villain who is murdering everyone close around him.

so i'm guessing walt's going to *accidentally* kill someone close to him, just like mike. ... maybe skylar...........maybe walt jr dies in a car crash hotrodding around in his new car......
but imo the show is setting up for walt to lose everything which means a lot of the family will die. we also need a replacement character to root for since walt is such a bad guy now, that person could be hank. so maybe that naggy wife of his marie gets caught in some cross-fire tonight.

crazy ending last week, walt apologizing to mike for killing him. fucking nutty. the into say my name beyonce thing was kinda cheesy, not sure why the producers shot that/included that.

edit: well, thinking it through, sklyar won't die tonight, she's obviously going to be cooking something up with jesse later...........

I thought the 'say my name' was just another way of showing how egotistical Walt has become. After Walt shot Mike, I think he had an epiphany about just how out of control his ego has become, hence the apology.

As for predictions, it looked like Walt was gonna try to have all 9 of Mike's guys killed. I guess this is where Todd's prison connections come into play. Not necessarily this episode, but maybe since Walt doesn't wanna pay Jesse, he decides to take his share of the methylamine and cook for the new guys handling distribution, thus cutting out Walter.

First of all, this isn't the end of the season. It's a mid-season finale.

I think if not tonight, eventually we're going to see Skylar and Jesse have a talk about Walt and what he's become -- and what can be done about it. Not killing him, because that's not the kind of people they are, but they both realize he's a different person now.

Walt's hubris is out of control, and it can only end one way if he keeps it up.

I have kicked around ideas over the last month or so about how the series will end.

After tonight's episode here is my theory:

Jesse tells Skylar about everyone that Walt has killed. Walt, wants out, but it isn't so easy because of the deals he has made. Hank snoops around, keeping an eye on Walk and comes to realize who he really is and what is happening.

Walt has a face off with the guys he currently has a deal to supply menth to. He takes them out and is now the kingpin he has always wanted to be. Jesse and Skyler cut a deal with Hank. They will sell Walt out in exchange for immunity. Walt is arrested. Jesse and Skylar take Walts storage locker full of cash and disappear and Walt, while sitting in a jail cell finds out that his cancer is back and this time it is so advanced he has no hope.

He accomplished his goal, his family has enough money to live the rest of their lives on, but they all hate him and he is left with what he has become while he withers and dies in a jail cell.
