I seem to have done a lot better than most of you guys.

The real questions are.

Would Markham run your business?

Can you afford Markham to run your business?

Do you have a business?

Would it be too crowded on your kitchen table for both of us?

How long will you have a kitchen table to run your business from?

No.

Why?

Nothing against Mr. Markham - but the content production of my company depends on a unique combination of photography combined with artistic photo manipulation and compositing that Paul isn't able to do.

Also - we build all our own studio props (bdsm devices) - so unless he has a workshop with $40k of tools and equipment (and the skillz)...he's SOL.

Great answer.

TBH I wouldn't know where to start with BDSM. Shooting or selling it.

No way if he really sells a year membership to his site for $40. Don't care enough to check but someone said that today.

For as much as I knock his content there is a market for it still today and the fact he cannot figure out how to target that market is alarming.

40 bucks for a year? But he has the best content on earth and knows more about how to sell it then anyone, I would think it would be 40 dollars a month and that is a steal. How can someone who tells everyone how to do it best sell his product for the lowest price. Something is not right here. I just cannot put a finger on it.
World class content PMT and he knows how the surfer thinks and anything that is best. Must be an error and he means 400 a year. Yeah that is it

These days $5,000 to $6,000 all round. Most of it on the big blowouts. Did a recent one with a ton of AVIs for a guy in the DVD industry.

Nothing like the good old days, but it's nice cash we can put away. We were always fairly modest spenders, nice house, nice cars, nothing flashy, you never saw me at the bar at a show paying for a bunch of strangers booze or throwing a party for them. No debts, no worries and no big spending. We're good for the rest of Eva's life.

Saw so many people here showing pictures of their mortgaged mansions and flash cars and bikes. And now wondering when the bailiff will come knocking I think we made the right decision.

Hope you saved for a rainy day.

I don't blame affiliates for grabbing what was being given to them on a plate. I blame sponsors. The reasons are obvious and if you stand back and look at it, you'll see.

Porn traffic IS easy to get. What's hard is getting them to buy something. There's a thread on page 1 or 2 of GFY now that's guessing the traffic of the top tubes. I forget the total number but think it was 200 million. Add what everyone else has and it's what half a billion, even quarter of a billion is a lot of traffic.

Now I hear you reply "It's shit traffic."

Why? Is my retort.

"They only want free porn." You reply.

So we have nailed down the problem. Why is there too much free porn, I hear someone cry from the cheap seats. Because sponsors thought the only way to get people to buy was to give it away.

Then they made it too easy for affiliates to prosper, so gave them more free porn, more tools, more money. To put up more reasons not to buy.

All it took to bring down the house of cards was cheap BW and we had a mighty wind.

Add to this too many affiliates, too many lousy sites, too many scammers and the problem was compounded.

Now Manwin is coming in and picking up what's left. The cancer is still growing and can't be cut out, even by them Because anyone can put up a free Tube site with 1,000 scenes and the traffic will come with a little work.

And they can cover their pages with ads and make money, until Manwin buy them out and then the next and then the next.

Imagine if we had all stayed at links only to paysites. There would be 5% of the traffic, or less, most would hit a paysite and earnings would sky rocket. That's why traffic isn't king. It can't be when less than 1-1,000 buys something.

On the evidence of the last 12 years. The question should be. would anyone let most of you run an industry, seeing what you did to this one. Because it really was simple, simpler than putting up a site.

You shot some good porn, sold it to a publisher, he packaged it and sold it to a shop. customers loved it and came back next month to buy the same title again.

Well it was easy if you could shoot good porn.

I'm writing my memoirs and plan to write a volume on the days in Czech, coming online and seeing it crumble. While so many denied it was. should be funny.

In all fairness...the only people doing a "few thousand" signups these days are guys doing API signups for dating.

I don't believe anybody is selling a few thousand signups a day to paysites in 2012.

At our height we were selling a few hundred full price (not trial) memberships per day as affiliates. And that was when I had 1.2 million uniques a day at ampland & two other tgps that ran concurrently and my partner had 1 1/2 million uniques a day at al4a

Piracy and full scenes and members areas for free on tubes viewed by tens of millions of people daily wasn't happening.

So no...I do not believe that people on GFY or anywhere are selling a few thousand full memberships to paysites every day in 2012.

With content sales we're definitely doing better than most. Would of closed the servers a long time ago if we were doing as some like to dream.

The truth is plain to see, I have not worked for since January 2009 and did little but keep the wheels turning from June 2008, Eva's accident. Still don't spoil people's fun with the truth.

Robbie, we agree on something.
