Keep your guns out of my school!
Wayne LaPierre's call to arm our educators reveals how detached from reality the NRA truly is.

I hear you, I don't want gun toting teachers in my kids school either. I don't mind schools with high crime rates having police officers stationed there just like It makes sense to me to have guns harshly regulated in high crime cities which the NRA won't budge on because of their insistence on having layers of stupid laws between them and the second amendment.
I believe in the second amendment too but the layers of foolishness between the second amendment and laws is staggering.

Let the teachers carry if they wish. Perfect deterrent.

Interesting fact:
Every single mass shooting incident except 1 in the past 20 something years has taken place in a "gun free zone" where people with CCW's are not allowed to take their weapons. It's pretty obvious that the very small percentage of people who commit this type of crime do not want someone else with a gun there to screw up the program. Want to make schools safe from mass shootings? Allow CCW owners to carry in them. That just leaves post offices, malls / shopping centers, theaters, etc as high risk areas for these types of incidents.

No. It's a stupid idea, and won't deter shit.
Columbine had an armed guard. Virginia Tech had it's own police department. Fort Hood is a military base. I think people have seen too many Hollywood shoot-em-ups. It's time to stop the fucking madness, and ban the sale of assault rifles and high-capacity clips. Freaks are the only ones interested in owning them. Not sportsmen. Not hunters. Not people who want to protect their homes. Freaks. |

Columbine, the guard exchanged gunfire with one of the boys, thus they boy having less time to kill others. Don't know about VT, again it had a Police department, but what was the response time???? You last statement is funny. I am NOT a Freak and I own an AR-15. I DO use mine to hunt varmints with. No I do not need 30 rounds for this.. I do Love my 30 round+ clips for Home Protection. |

VT shooting was Handguns ---- Cho used two firearms during the attacks: a .22-caliber Walther P22 semi-automatic handgun and a 9 mm semi-automatic Glock 19 handgun.
He walked to Norris Hall. In a backpack, he carried several chains, locks, a hammer, a knife, two handguns with nineteen 10 and 15 round magazines, and nearly 400 rounds of ammunition He chained the three main entrance doors shut. He placed a note on at least one of the chained doors, claiming that attempts to open the door would cause a bomb to explode. in 10-12 Minutes he had fired at least 174 rounds All of the victims were shot at least three times each |

And you think to keep kids safe, teachers should have guns ready, hot and cocked, to protect the classroom. I guess you're right. Who could ever consider you a freak? As an aside, I'm curious how these teacher/sharpshooters should be paid for. Wouldn't that be more "big gubmint spending"? In addition to the significant education required by teachers, now will they be expected have ballistics training? How about liability insurance? Who pays for all of it? See how fucking ridiculous it gets with these fucking stupid NRA easy answers? There is no REASONABLE justification for selling weapons designed to kill en masse to the general public. There is ABUNDANT justification not to. |
