I think the threat is real because they have been really quiet in terms of real activity for some time.

Indeed, they've been focusing on destabilizing Syria and Libya, working as allies of the West, but now they say it's time to attack us again.

War on North Africa is a lot easier, especially now that Libya have been taken out and Egypt destabilized. The Middle East is a tough nut to crack, it's next door to Russia for one thing, but the countries also have far superior military's and infrastructure when compared to the African nations.

We should never be dealing with Al Qaeda, at all, ever.

I understand that some of these alliances can be odd and include such groups, but we should really put our foot down with Al Qaeda and just never deal with them.
