Just like clockwork, whenever an argument breaks out about weed, someone, somewhere, will always recite the 'fact' that both the Declaration of Independence and The US Constitution were written on hemp paper. This point is usually made to appeal to the 'freedom' enjoyed and enshrined by The Founding Fathers in the past. Regardless, Washington and Colorado have started a national trend and it is a sure bet there will be at least one state measure in 2014 trying to follow in the footsteps of Washington state and Colorado...

hemp was used A LOT in the past and weed was legal in the past...the powers that be ( Gov and Big Pharm companies ) don't want people discovering the healing properties of the plant.
