Any old time safety razor users out there?
First of all those shitty 8 blade razors are shit. I've been a fan of Safety DE Razors for over a year now however I have a sensitive neck with swirly 360 degree neck hair so I always end up with cuts all over my neck. So can anyone recommend a good DE or possible SE razor that wont butcher my neck? I've heard rumors that a vintage Gillette Tech DE or a 1912 SE GEM might be what I'm looking for.

http://www.amazon.com/Edwin-Jagger-D...s=safety+razor http://www.amazon.com/Merkur-Model-1...s=safety+razor and the proraso http://www.amazon.com/Proraso-Shavin...+shaving+cream and don't forget a good applicator. the razors above will take ~10minutes for a proper shave the gillete pro glide is my favorite for a quick and close |

I use a Merkur now. I think it's the long handle. I went ahead and ordered a Gillette Tech but it looks the same as a Merkur. Maybe the razor curve is a bit less aggressive.

as far as i know, all the safety razors will nick slightly here and there, iv'e found it to be the case as well. perhaps a change in shave cream or applicator can help a bit.
