Flare gun ✓ Machete ✓ Bottle of Whiskey ✓
 SEATTLE -- A man found himself severely burned and engaged in a fight for his life Friday night in the International District when he was ambushed by another man armed with a flare gun, machete and bottle of whiskey, according to the Seattle Police Department. According to police, the victim was walking near Sixth Avenue and King Street around 8:15 p.m. when a man he knows "in passing" came up behind him and fired a flare gun at the back of his head. The victim, whose jaw was severely burned by the flare, later told officers he turned around and found himself in a fight for his life. Meanwhile, bus tunnel security flagged down an officer, saying they heard a gunshot nearby. Finding the suspect and victim fighting in the middle of the street, the officer separated them and confiscated the machete and bottle of whiskey tucked into the suspect's pants, according to police. The victim told officers they showed up just in time as the suspect had been going for the machete. Never roll without my flare gun and whiskey but sometimes I go for the ballpeen hammer instead of the machete since it has more stopping power even if the machete does have a bit of a psychological edge.
