Almost had my first roadkill incident today.

In all my years of driving i've thankfully never hit any animals by accident with my car. Today was probably the closest i've come to it yet. I was driving around 70mph when a deer just seemed to appear from nowwhere. Natural reaction is just to swerve a little if possible, but the road was busy both lanes so risking that wasn't even an option.

The deer seemed to quickly change it's direction path, and i must have missed it by inches. Nobody else hit it either as it scampered into the trees.

I think my whole day would be ruined if i ever hit anything...

(i guess the animals day would be ruined aswell)

I need a drink now.

My Girl hit a deer 3 days after taking delivery of a new vehicle.

That fucking blew.

When I lived in Michigan, I had a deer t-bone the side of my commercial van on a quiet country road. Because I didn't see it, I had no idea what the hell happened - just heard a loud bang and the van rocked.

Stopped the van and got out and saw a deer with a broken neck and $4000 damage to my van!

Used to ride a Harley and that was always one of my fears when riding country roads
