Most Americans just cannot comprehend how big Texas is.

Texas is bigger than England. Or France. Or Italy.

In most states, you can drive for 3 hours and be 3 states away. In Texas, drive 8 hours and you're still in Texas.

Most of you can't even begin to imagine.

Everything is bigger in Texas.

It won't be when it melts. Alaska is basically a big county with a population of 600,000.

Go to the inner-city of a major city? let's say Chicago. Many of them have never left their neighborhood/district.

There is more history and culture within a 50 mile radius of my home town in Virginia than in the entire state of Texas.

Worldwide, the vast majority of people on the planet have never been more than 250 miles from their place of birth and will never live anywhere but their hometown. Even in Europe, the UK, and the US it is only about half.

The drive from East to West in Ontario (Canada) is a good 22 to 24 hours drive depending on the route you take, and that's if you don't stop for any length of time. Huge province.

I drove through Texas one day on my way to a pool tournament in California and stopped at a Red Lobster in El Paso. That was the best damn NY Strip that I've ever had. You could cut it with a fork.

You were in Texas and bought a New York strip at a Red Lobster? This is like going to Paris and getting an apple pastry from McDonald's.

The worst drive EVER is the 10 Fwy between El Paso and San Antonio. I thought I was going to lose my mind on it. Definitely was hallucinating.

If satan exists... he lives somewhere in west TX.

The operative word there is "HISTORY." As in the past, where Virginia's relevance resides.

Texas is past, president and future. Since Eisenhower, most of our Presidents have been from Texas. And, while NY and California's population declines, Texas is still growing larger every day, and in every way.

You're wrong Mike. Texas is #2 largest state (in area).

Negro, please.

Eisenhower: Born in Texas

Kennedy: Needed a Texan to get elected

Johnson: Texan.

Nixon/Ford/Carter -- Non-Texan disasters, each and every one.

Reagan: Texan at heart, who loved Texas so much he had his convention in Dallas.

Bush 1: Texan

Clinton: Born 50 miles from Texas, and only became president because he ran against 2 Texans (Bush 1 and Perot).

Bush 2: Texan

Obama: Disasterous non-Texan.

The thing I hate about Texas is almost every town looks the same as the one before it. It's like they just plop down the exact same stores in the exact same strip malls and there yea go its a town...

Texas is puny. tiny, mini.

come up north and see the provinces or territories in Canada. I'll show you big.

in America they call it survivor, in Canada we call it camping.

in America they watch fight club. In Canada we go to the bar and experience it.

in America you need a gun or a gang member will rob you. In Canada you need a gun or a bear will EAT you.

I have a friend with the Boarder Patrol in the Big Bend National Park area. Visited him on a bike trip once and man that is a huge area of nothing.

Those of you hating on TX need to get off the Interstate once in a while

And the people there are some of the friendliest most trusting people I have met anywhere in the country. Every time I go there I come away impressed.

In most states, you can drive for 3 hours and be 3 states away. In Texas, drive 8 hours and you're still in Texas.

Most of you can't even begin to imagine.

Everything is bigger in Texas.
Is it bigger than Wales ?
