In my scanning...no where did I see that to abuse children...sexually or otherwise...is taught..or approved of by the LDS. The LDS in fact stress in their teachings to obey the law of the land and to render unto Caesar what is Caesars.

Ninety plus percent of members of the LDS are some of the better people that exist in the American society. They are well educated...courteous...generous...law abiding people and these things are stressed in the LDS teachings.

I don't believe this is true at all.

The Taliban came into existence shortly after the Russian invasion of Pakistan, but was more of a Pakistani-trained mujahideen fighting force. It's very possible that US provided financial support, and perhaps even trained them, but we did this with a large number of "groups" of varying ideology and dubious intentions. We weren't grooming them to become the future government of Afghanistan, nor did we ever imagine the Taliban would eventually become the government there.
