Good for you, I do exactly the same, a one line reply with a $5 offer, if they waste my time sending spam I waste theirs with ridiculous offers. That will make them think if sending spam is worthwhile or not.

Most of the times the domains they are offering aren't even registered.

I always lead them on, saying i'm willing to offer $3000 (if they are asking $6000). Then they go register the domain and I bullshit them some more, wasting their time.

I like them sending the raw template , but anyone who owns more than a couple of domains is going to receive the exact same email from two apparently different people and will pretty quickly figure out the scam anyway.

Yeah, that or they are pending delete and will be available in 5 days. I always save those domains and use domain tools to send me an alert when the domains are available. Once I get the alert, I search for the email, contact the spammer and tell them I am interested in the domain. They always register the domain and email back trying to sell it to me and I always tell them "that worthless piece of shit? Not interested." And these guys keep contacting me every week. I've had them register over 100 worthless domains in the last year.

After getting bored about those spammy messages, i decided to get privacy for all my domain names and that's not only because of those fucks, it's because i was starting to be afraid that they may try to hack my email address in order to steal my domains.

It really does keep a lot of the spam away though...I used to have whois privacy on all my domains and I hardly ever received spam but ever since I dropped the whois privacy I get so many damn domain spam emails it's nuts.

Confirm, after putting privacy, very rare i receive spammy emails and, like i said before, for me is more safe if they don't know the email, they could try to hijack it or block me to login.

Ah, and by the way, the indians are not such a big problem, i spot the danger in the chinese when they send different emails with suspicious links that could take your data.

The worst guy who does that is a member of this forum and a well known, old school webmaster. Usually if they aren't coming from him, they are coming from people trying to broker domains he has for sale for a commission.

Even like that, at least the spammer will never know your original email and any personal data that could help him to hijack your domains.

Nah, I buy and sell a lot of domains and it only It takes me seconds to open and email and add the domain to my watch list. And besides, the satisfaction I get from costing these scammers (because thats what they really are) time and money, is well worth it
