Use Tubex? Please Help!

Can you use sponsor hosted images in Tubex videos?

Is there some way of setting this up as an option?

So far when I go to Add Video, I see Source: URLS but presumabely this is for a flv or mp4 url. What about an image URL?

Any help very much appreciated.

When you Import Videos it clearly says Video URL & Thumbnail URL and yet when I add them, the Thumbnail URL never shows up - just a broken image.

Please help!

If you ever get that, flag the vid up for re thumnailing and start the thumbnail queue. Assuming things are set up correctly, imagemagick will happily grab 5 thumbs from the video and you're all set. If it doesn't, then your server path to imagemagick is probably wrong

Something similar to this does work thanks, but I would rather use the sponsor hosted images which I've imported. Any idea how this can be done or what might be going wrong?

create a custom field for the thumbs and select that in the import options. Edit your player settings and use inline coding to flag true/false for if exists value. If thumb url is there display the custom thumb, if not,,,display a stock image.

URLs - This option allows you to enter URLs to files hosted on HTTP servers. Multiple URLs can be entered, and multiple file types are supported. Click the icon to add more URL fields, or the icon to remove an URL field. The supported file types are:

If you select the hotlink option, the software will not be able to determine the video duration so you will need to fill in the Video Duration field!

I just tried what you suggest BrassMonkey (adding a single video and not using import)and still have the same issue. The thumbnail does not appear.

Could this be a file that needs to have it's permissions changed?

It's not really anything that is explained in detail because its simply a customized method of displaying the material and changing the layout of the database.

You need to go through the documentation and learn the software. I know that doesn't sound like a simple solution, but there really isn't a simple solution. It's either that or you pay somebody to set it up for you. Even then, you should still understand whats being done.

Then you need to know how to code the different players like flowplayers, jw, etc in the player templates, combined with the internal tubex commands for php and literals..

and just to make clear. You're not going to be able to take that code and pop it in your player code and whalla its going to work because thats specifically coded for my site and what my variables do..etc...its just an example of the code merging.
