Copyright litigation vs. organizing?
Here the beginning an effort to create some policy discussion on copyright infringement, strategies to reduce the impact of piracy, and/or address some of the complaints of those who are concerned about losing privacy and/or large sums of money in statutory damages in court for filesharing: Copyright litigation vs. organizing?
There may yet be enough time left this cycle to get something into the party platform, and I am willing to work towards that if there is sufficient interest and I have some ability to fundraise to cover expenses in taking this beyond one simple petition in my congressional district convention. I would hope to get input from people with different vantage points and find some solutions that nearly everyone can agree to support - actions and in real life meetings if not language for platform resolutions.
