Discount Domain Transfers/Renewal & Coupon CODE

I switched another 4 domains from GoDaddy today to NameCheap & saved quite a bit.

Total Transfer Cost Per Domain + Fees = $8.67

Also you get 1 free year of WhoisGuard....which is fucking awesome...

http://www.namecheap.com/?aff=68011

coupon code: SWITCH2NC

Its not really that big of a pain in the ass to switch registrars if you are used to EPP codes and click a few emails. I had mine all approved and transferred in about an hour...

Their renewal prices shot up to twice that much....with no more coupon codes for renewals..

Saving 50% by transferring and getting a free year of whoisguard was a no brainer...

Godaddy has a new bulk domain club they are offering for a one time fee, but screw that......

depends how many domains you have, I have over 500 with them so the savings pays for the club plus you can use a discount code to join the club

We are moving away from godaddy as well. Customer service has gone to crap and the coupon three card monty games they play are tiresome. Plus, no free whois.

I am moving all my domains from GD too after many years. Not only their interface sucks, but there are really no renewal coupons lately Namecheap is much cheaper and has user friendly interface.

GoDaddy is also filing soon for an IPO in an effort to reduce its debt. Not ground breaking considering they are trying to recoup years of cheap domains with full price renewals now.

It's like selling crack, you get them on the comeback......except people have a lot more options instead of just staying and paying.

Don't be surprised if everything related to the GD business rises in price..

No more competitive prices, renewals at ridiculous prices...
I am moving my names from GD to silo guys for that reason. Their renewals are cheaper than GD's with coupons (that are rare nowadays anyway).
