Hi, all.

Allow me to introduce myself and my sites. My name is Dr. Mercies, and I'm a guy pursuing his dream. I'm producing a brand new site, Assylum.com, which features both A-listers and amateurs in extremely original, demented, and hardcore anal and BDSM action. Everything we do is very different from everything else out there, and every one of our scenes is different from the previous scenes. As director and rigger, in addition to studio owner, I put a tremendous amount of personal effort into brainstorming and executing every shoot.

To help us add value to porn-for-pay, we're doing a lot of new things, including:

Shooting in 4K ultraHD, with 4K downloads available to premium members
Integrating user-activated performer commentary into most scenes
Providing a forum where members can directly contribute to the ideation of future scenes
Creating a new look and feel that departs from other BDSM and extreme sites

We've also created DerangedDollars.com, an affiliate program based on MPA3. Right now, we've got a few dozen banner ads up, a bunch of downloadable photos and videos, and several blog entries. We'll be adding hosted galleries and other tools in the coming weeks. For new affiliates who sign up in the coming weeks, we're offering 55% revshare and a 10% Webmaster referral bonus.

Both sites were developed by Mansion Productions, one of the adult software industry leaders.

Markul, right now the affiliate program offers downloadable videos. Most are 720P. We have various lengths, from 4 minutes through 13 minutes. We'll have hosted videos within a few weeks.

Skrog,yes. We've chosen to put up a small number of high quality photos (10 to 20 per scene) rather than a larger number of lower quality pics. Some of our photos are taken with silent-shutter still cameras during the shoot. Others are distilled from the 4k video. Obviously, the former are the higher quality. In a couple early scenes (like the Ophelia shoot), we were still optimizing our workflow and didn't get the best stills, but we've got great high-res sets for most shoots.

Abinthinet, we have 8 scenes up (just launched) and are updating once weekly right now. We have a dozen more scenes shot and in the editing queue. Most of our scenes are over 40 minutes and put together from very long shoots. We put our models through a lot of stuff over several hours each. Casey Calvert's scene is an hour long and was shot over 2 days.

Jay, our 4k content can't be streamed effectively on 99.9% of computers using current codecs and bandwidth limitations. We shoot with film cameras in 10-bit color depth, and the final files are massive. So we haven't produced 4k trailers. We will of course revisit the issue in a year or so.

Duke, working with Mansion Productions has been great. Assylum has some unique features, including Japanese translation and 2 membership tiers, that required customization of the software, and Mansion has been very responsive in this regard.

American Psycho, we shoot with 4K film cameras in 4K resolution and export 4K masters. Then we transcode the 4K masters into multiple resolutions, from 4K down to low-res. The 4K files are 5GB - 15 GB each and not streamable, so those are download only. The streaming is not 4K, but the downloads are. We try to make this clear on the order page, and so far I haven't heard any confusion or complaints from our members.

Eddy, yes, it's not pushed a whole lot right now. We'll be putting up a separate landing page soon that pushes it more for certain advertising campaigns.

The Japanese translations are machine translations. Not recommended for Japanese traffic.

The entry 18+ button reads:

"I am from 6pm morning agreed"

The rest is machine translation.

I know the mechbunny script now works with UTF-8 which is required for Japanese/Chinese etc.

That's always recommended. Especially in adult. They know it will be hard for you to check so they deliver whatever quality they can. It appears to have been done by a mech-dictionary site, word by word. Whoever did the work is not Japanese. We see a number of adult websites recently that must have/perhaps been duped by the same people. Yours is not the worst. Some of the others are quite awful.
