search on any theme site for a photography portfolio wp theme, there are many modern themes which look better than site above.
you can also use some import plugin like cyberseo to mass import galleries. |

This is a nice looking site but does not seem to be a WordPress site, probably custom. I would be interested to know if something like it were available commercially.
https://wpdetector.com/ sometimes helps detect WP themes and plugins.

looks like a custom job.
what i recommend if you want something custom, have a good designer like adult html, s2odesigns, zuzana, etc then convert it over to a theme code from the static html/css/js
