i have some video's i want to cut them into smaller video's

i need something that i can lets say cut from 1 min 20 seconds to 5 min's 45 seconds easily.

any suggestions ?

im looking for something that will run on windows 8

If they are already encoded I would use Avidemux. It doesn't de-compress and then re-compress the video, just cuts.

and It's free http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/ don't know if it works on Win8 but it does on Win7.

Is this free, I didn't see any payment page?
I notice "If it crashes after loading a video, disable openGl in preferences." on windows download, does this happen alot & once you disable openGl, is the software stable?

Videocharge was always what I used to chop clips up. Still does the trick, even though it's become quite bloated.
