Anyone see the movie ERASERHEAD?

Man what a weird frigging flick that is only made it half way through to i fell a sleep.

Got a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I like b moves as well but this one was just plain weird lol

It's one of my favorite cult movies. I was watching it back in the 80s.

Met the lead actor Jack Nance back in 1995 and actually befriended him... very VERY interesting guy. Was devastated when he was killed a year later.

To each his own, but I think of Eraserhead as an "Emperor's New Clothes" film. Somebody, somewhere, in some influential position didn't know what the fuck to make of it, decided it must be High Art, and everyone else followed suit rather than be thought of as simpleminded.

Now, Blue Velvet, on the other hand... wow.

I worked in a movie theater in the early 80s. Eraserhead was a permanent fixture on the Friday/Saturday midnight program - along with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Always a mellow crowd with plenty of pot smoke for Eraserhead.
