CNN reported the most polarizing police officer in America?Darren Wilson?is in final stages of negotiating his resignation from the Ferguson police force Thursday night.

To the best of my knowledge the resignation is reported as pending the announcement of the Grand Jury.

If they indict: He will withdraw the resignation and fight.
If they do not indict: He will voluntarily resign to help ease tensions.

Makes sense. The guys cop career is over any how. Regardless if he's right or wrong.

EDIT: Having a bit of background here. I will guarantee this guy retires with a full pension from the police force if he is not indicted. If he is, and he fights, and wins. We will receive compensatory damages from the city/state in the millions.

That is certain. The only way he loses is if he's indicted and he is proven guilty of something that brings jail time. Even so, I am going to go out on a limb and say he'll never see the inside of a jail cell.

Ferguson loses in EVERY situation except him going to jail. The odds on that are very low, even if indicted.

when i was 11 years old I seen a white cop in compton shot a man running in back of the head, I was so happy to move to florida for a while. Dude didnt have no gun, he just ran into police car with his body and keep running. Punk po po gets out and shots him in the head

Sadly its not going to be " The Best for All. "

The governments are scared of the people and what they will do. so they will take him to court most likely. it will be a charade and he will be found guilty and he will be taken to some jail where he will live a short time in the best they can. Then he will be quietly released with full retirement and he will leave the area.

Yah, I disagree with that. The evidence against him is purely anecdotal. All of the hard hitting evidence leans the case in his favor.

Looking at facts only:

- The autopsy goes his way.

- The physical evidence goes his way.

- The character of Mike Brown is severely tarnished by the liquor store vid.

- Other black witnesses attested to the cops story. Not widely publicized for many reasons.

The only thing that the prosecution would have is the anecdotal testimony of the friends of Mike Brown.

Those are pretty much facts so far. Not speculation.

Anyway, I think he walks.

Not that I care. I hate dirty cops and would love to see one burn, if that's the case.

I'm not taking sides here but I thought he got stopped for jay walking which is walking in the middle of the street or not using the crosswalk. But the real thing that got him killed is he got into a fight with the cop then started to walk away from him. Not saying the cop isn't racist or in the wrong but this is not nearly a cut and dry case with Brown's history

Let me just say this one more time. He didn't get killed for walking down a side street. He got killed for being a thug to a maybe racist cop.
