Business GFY Awards....Come ON Man!

So the adult awards season is here. I will first state that as a 12 year industry vet running a modest, but respected successful adult company I have never once been nominated for any award at all, none, zilch, squat. So perhaps I am subconsciously bitter. (I am not really though)

What i am curious about is what process is used to pick the winners? I looked at this list for this category today.

Sour grapes aside, but some of these folks have the exact product they had last year, in fact some that I see have less innovation then in previous years.

Couldn't the non-award nominees, the lowly voters, be at least humored with a byline describing said innovation? Couldn't a panel, slim down this list to something remotely interesting to contemplate voting on.

Just food for thought, we struggle with others taking us seriously while not really even taking ourselves seriously when so little effort could make it appear that we do.

Congrats for those that are nominated. I truly don't mean to take away from anyone of them as I know that they are out there, struggling, posting and working. It was not meant to be a slight that they did what it took to get nominated and I didn't.

I would just be interested in seeing the best of the best that someone put some thought into. The best of the best is in there to be sure, they are lumped together in somewhat of a lazy fashion with anyone that filled out a few forms or sent a few Skypes.

I remember one year that a certain solo model, when I was in the solo model game, won a few awards.

Her site maybe got 500 visits per day and definitely wasn't even remotely on our radar as any serious competition(or anything beneficial, like members' area trades).

However, she was at every show and always got naked for everyone.

Thanks. Oh trust me, I know how it works. It is just so sad to watch sometimes when the slightest amount of effort could make it a bit interesting.

And this goes across the board in terms of awards, not just GFY, I am just picking on them as I say that list of innovators.
