Man Does Fake Slip in Lidl, Wants £10K, Goes to Jail, Doesn't Pass Go
A man who deliberately "slipped" on a wet bag in a supermarket so he could make a £10,000 insurance claim has been given a suspended jail term. Waheed Iqbal, 36, claimed he "banged his head and body" in a Lidl store in Bradford. CCTV footage showed Iqbal gradually easing himself to the floor before flagging down a fellow shopper.
