The Future of Porn
As 2014 winds to a close, I find myself wondering what the future has in store.
I'm constantly amazed that our industry keeps finding new ways to keep porn fresh, keep it interesting and deliver it better. Now, with all kinds of technology on the horizon, I have my own ideas about what porn (and sex) will look like 5, 10 and 20 years from now. What do you think the future hold 5, 10 and 20 years out for Sex, Porn and auto-erotica? I'll start with: - Sex Bots seem like they'll arrive soon, but probably not 5 years. They need to be able to get warm (cold-dead-skin Real Dolls not doin' it) and clean themselves up lol. But that's got to be the future of the Flashlight, right? - Fully immersive Virtual Reality holodeck style. That's got to be coming at some point. I think less than 20 years... - Shaved pubes? That's here forever, though the little muff-top might stick around. I'd like to see them get some little shaping happening though Def. less than 5 years for designer pubic hair muff-tops. |

animation will get real enough that you can select how a model should look, what they should do, & your PC will render it up & it will be hard to tell from real.

More and more less-than-attractive regular people will continue to post their own amateur pics...and the photo quality will improve overall with better resolution cell cams (i.e. the SG4 takes a gorgeous, crystaline pic).
Pro content producers will continue to see a decline in revenue sales while production, hosting and gear upgrade costs continue to escalate...further eroding profit margins across the board. There will be a few immunities to this, though. At least one, maybe two major processing companies will rock a scandal - webmasters will go unpaid for quite some time. Some of us may get lucky and hit on 'the next big thing' - pull a rabbit from a hat and make a lot of bank on a unique, innovative idea. |

I'm betting more on the Oculus rift being the new-comer "big thing" in adult this coming year... Now if there were only funds to work on it..

The VR part of the equation you stated will show itself as soon as next year.
It will take at least 1 good consumer version of the tech in consumer hands to go anywhere and it looks like we shall have about 3 CO's launch good stuff next year with the Oculus Rift leading the pack. There are many folks working on VR stuff/software for the Oculus Rift as we speak but will only launch when there is a consumer grade product on the market. It will also take time for inexpensive 3D Omnipherical camera equipment to come to market (like Samsung Project Beyond) to help in this. But good 3D VR porn can be produced with a gopro and a 3d kit if it is produced with vr in mind.. The PornBots part of the equation you stated, will most likely show itself within a year of the VR. I expect to see integration with VR in that time frame. How good will the early stuff be ? Time will tell. Once a market is proven to exist, there will be many more players willing to invest time and money. I also see 3d vr porn/chatrooms to be just around the corner as well as many other stuff not on anyone's radar just yet but it all hinges of the release of a good vr goggle in the near term. For anyone that doubts the power of this tech, I suggest a view of the site virtualrealporn .com with a Samsung Gear VR (Oculus Partnership) or even google cardboard as you simply can not understand this new VR tech until you have seen it for yourself. You probably will see "most" of what you stated in the very near future not more than 5 years away. This will be the fastest growing tech we have seen since the smartphone but much broader as it has many more implications. It all starts in 2015 ! |

It's going to be mobile. In case anyone hasn't noticed there's a giant sucking sound in the background and that the Internet moving towards iPhones, Tablets, etc.
1) Therefore there's going to be a slew of really creepy APPs developed to try and "help" perverts find each other. But they'll all come down to a trillion horny men trying to get laid and failing at it. Swinging couples and women usually end up dumping things like this within 2 months because of single male overload... So webmasters fill the void with fake adverts. 2) As long as Youtube is around Porn Tube sites will still be around. But just as Youtube is wrestling with Hollywood... The porn tubes will have their own problems. With fewer and fewer production houses and content creators the tube site's will have to do more and more of the filming themselves. In the end they'll be filled with shit from all over the world and they'll see their dominance decline considerably. 3) Cam sites are going to get hit hard. We've already seen Sexploitation start and that's going to cause fear. But we're also going to see "Generation Free" trolling Facebook and other social sites for free sex shows. (Expect lots more pedo arrests in the future) 4) Services such as Onedrive are going to be the pervert's go to sources. He'll upload his stuff and share it only with who he wants. Same will be for swingers, etc. 5) Things like Virtual Reality, Google Glass, etc. Will have a momentary "curb side appeal" but interest in them will die out quickly. So where's the future of porn??? In the private market.
