22lb turkey - day three - help!

The wife bought a 22lb turkey this year since it was our turn to host the Xmas family get-together. It was perfectly cooked and oh-so-delicious.

Well...we had two large platters leftover...since we also served a large ham.

Day 3 - I'm now chowing down on two turkey sandwiches, and had turkey earlier for brunch.

I think I'm approaching critical mass and may begin morphing in to a barnyard fowl. I may have to revert back to 'hunt-'n-peck' on the keyboard as I slowly turn in to the Xmas version of Brundelfly.

You could freeze the rest and make stew in a few weeks when you aren't sick of eating turkey.

Well, the rule-of-thumb is a pound per person - and we had 15 peeps over. The wife's side of the family is generally big eaters, so we got the biggest turk we could fit in the oven.

One of these years I gotta try fryin' one. We got a good firepit area in the yard that'd be perfect.

turkey teriyaki

heat soy sauce, vinegar and garlic in sauce pan until bubbling, add turkey (and peas/carrots) and stir until heated thoroughly (a bit of brown sugar if you want it sweet)

serve on rice
