Successful site, any tips to optimize things?

I have a fairly successful site in a very niche gay territory, which I sell content I produce on. I have a Facebook fan page which recently passed 3k likes, and make 3k(during content droughts due to not wanting to release because of our friends at zombaio), and 10k a month. Traffic seems to be 20k a month steadily even when no content was being added(I suspect more like 30k this past month). The top sites in the niche(only 1 or 2 ahead of me, though) I suspect they make around 40-50k a month, numbers I am very keen to emulate).

I got here pretty quick, and have learned a lot along the way these past twoish years of operation, but what would other people, especially those who make content they sell recommend I do to optimize hits etc? Really, any advise welcome.

I mentioned it ranges from 3k or so in content droughts(which are unlikely in the future barring processing issues like with zombaio), to 10k, though generally 8k is pretty standard. As long as there is some content in recent times, it won't ever drop below 5k.

There are so many variables to factor in before making your plan of action.

1) what is the niche

2) how often to do you update

3) What are your membership price points

4) What is your recurring membership retention

Answer those questions and I'll have some answers on what you can do to increase revenue

I make wrestling videos, most are very soft core- only a handful with nudity or any kind of sex acts.

I try and release a season(6 videos) every two months or so, with VIP memberships every few two or so weeks.

Premium videos are 30 usd apiece, and the members section which costs 20 usd for recurring, and 30 usd for one month.

retention is hard to evaluate as I changed systems, but I believe 58-60% or so.

If you link to the site, it will be much more easy to give you some suggestions.
Anyway, do you have an affiliate program? It may help a lot.

Ok I've got your url and took a look at the site:

1) Change the VIP link to JOIN NOW. Surfers don't know VIP is where they sign up. I clicked on the "Sign Me Up" link on the bottom and it was for a newsletter, change that text to "Newsletter". None of the pages off the home page have a join now link. Google search clicks don't take people to your home page on first visit, so they could surf most your site not knowing it was a pay site from what I saw.

2) Create a Youtube channel. Create G rated promo clips on Youtube, post those to your other social media properties weekly, even off season. DO NOT post the YouTube videos on your site, I went to a page with a YouTube video and the video is not available, says account terminated.

3) You can increase your pricing points by $10 each, if you feel nervous about it, increase both by $5 and you wont notice a change in signups.

4) Add very, very short promo clips on your site, under a minute. Host the clips, these are not Youtube clips.

5) Submit promo clips to the top tube sites.

6) When off season, since your site name is related to your niche, offer another site in a Lycra or sportswear niche like swimmers, cyclists, etc. Keep subscribers interested and rebilling by offering both sites for the price of one, that way all year round they are getting content.

Sound like a good start?

1. There is a join now image on the right hand side, below the image of the newest release. What would you recommend I alter to make it as clear as possible? Newsletter is a very very good point.

2. I actually am doing this, and it is indeed a very good strategy(original account got banned despite being g rated, though).

3. You mean to the membership section? I def can't push the vids higher, they are already very very highly priced.

4. Do you mean to the video pages?

5. Yea, I had thought of that but haven't taken initiative. Very good idea though.

That's on the front page. When I Google keywords related to your niche, the pages I'm taken to are not your front page. The pages just have Home 1 2 3 4 5 etc, the VIP No "JOIN NOW"

Also, your special offer banner at the top goes to the page with the deactivated youtube video. So possible members will be put off by that thinking if stuffs not available on the outside, it might not be on the inside as well

Fixing that will help conversions via consumer confidence in your site.

Because you're posting the videos on an adult site. Your competition will report you. I see your new account goes to G+ Great! Now have a graphic on your G+ that has your domain name in it, without linking

There are other things you can do other then offering a second site. Tons of stuff it looks like you haven't touched on yet from what I've seen on your FB & YouTube channel.

On a side note, keep your FB in line and hide negative comments. Also have CCBill as your main processor. My first site went live 15 years ago and I've been producing content ever since If you want to connect more PM me your email, skype, or phone number
