It seems an early announcement gives them a little bump in their numbers.

I don't think Cruz or Paul has a change. I think this will be all Bush and perhaps Walker.

So the Republican party is really trying for the Minority vote this time..

They have

Cruz the Canadian/Hispanic
Jindal the Hispanic Jesus nut
Paul the white crazy nut
Bush the Mexican..

This is going to be as big of a circus as last time.. We just need the Mormon & the Pizza guy to fill it in.. Welcome to the Ringling Republican Circus, they already have the Elephant..

I predict it will come down to Jeb Bush and Paul Walker, and that Jeb Bush will win the nomination.

Then of course he will lose to Hillary.

I would vote fore Paul before any of the others. Too bad elections are rigged by the system and the media. Your vote for American Idol means more than the US presidential elections.

Well that's fairly obvious.. I mean it's a no brainier that unless Jeb fucks up he will get the nomination.. at least the GOP could "try" to run some challengers, instead of 4 or 5 nuts to make their Jeb pick look good.

Even still, Bush is not likely to sit in the White house.. Considering the last two Bushes put us in wars and doubled the deficit. He doesn't stand much chance and he's not crazy enough for the new Republican base.

I don't like Hillary, but I think she would fairly easily walk away with it. However she will bring with her a lot of Republican Rage.. They just can't stand the Clintons.. and I really do not think a Bush vs Clinton election is what this country needs.

IMO both are doing the wrong thing by trying to run if they run.. Both bring too much political baggage with them which further separates the country.

You could be right, but Bush jr was not responsible for 9/11. Yes, he was a dipshit, but the blame for 9/11 and the following action lays squarely on clinton's shoulders. OBL could have been taken out years before 9/11 if Mr Clinton had a ball sack that wasnt being caressed by an intern or common hooker. The major pass the he(clinton) is given to 9/11 and the subsequent collapse of the US economy is quite hilarious to me.

So what you are really saying is 9/11 was Regan and Bush sr's fault because they used the Cia to fund him in the Afghan war aginst the Russians..

You're fucking nuts if you think Clinton was to blame for 9/11. Which is paraphrasing you. He begged the congress to allow wiretapping of terror suspects and they refused to pass that into law. It's public record for fuck sakes. Clinton was responsible for loading up the treasury though so that dip fuck Bush could spend it all on his stupid bullshit war in Iraq that was proposed before the fucking rubble stopped smoking.

Congrats again to Rand Paul for announcing early. Not that anyone forgot the thread topic or anything!

what I am saying is clinton knew bin laden was responsible for numerous bombings-us embassies, military installments. Clinton had the opportunity to take care of OBL, long before 9-11. He chose not too. This is tangible and on the record. I am extremely confident had reagan been in clinton's position 9-11 would not have occurred. If you want to talk shit though, your boy Carter was in the game before reagan. Dont want to point a finger at him tho.

That's right....... it's common knowledge that Clinton had a chance to take out OBL, but for some reason they didn't go ahead - maybe the risk of collateral damage. There was a lot of press about OBL long before 9/11 but most people didn't hear about him until after the fact.

I think that by Far, Jeb is the best bet for republicans. He seems smarter than the rest and certainly looks presidential. If republicans win in 2016, I would hope that Rand Paul would be the winner before any of the others. Sometimes Randal seems to say things that make sense.

Guys, I don't think that killing Bin Laden would have changed a whole lot of events.

Remember...the U.S. Navy Seals finally killed him a few years ago. Is the world safe? Do less people hate us now? Are there less "terrorist" threats?

The way to stop all the problems is simple: The bureaucrats in Washington D.C. need to stop trying to run every other country in the world.
A large majority of the world HATES the United States.

That is the fault of decades of power hungry bureaucrats in Washington.
The U.S. foreign policy that they set up after WW2 has led to all of this. And it isn't going to stop by killing one guy (as we've already seen). Or even killing all their "leadership" (how many times have we been told that all the leadership of the "terrorists" have been killed?).

You can't kill an idea by killing people. It never works and never will.

We need to CHANGE U.S. foreign policy. Get our troops OUT of all the countries that we are in. Stop bombing sovereign nations and ordering them about like they are our slaves.

Sadly few people now distinguish between US foreign policy and US as a country or a people. That is wrong but at the end of the day its a flaw in democracy that people like GWB could get voted into office in the first place.

Very true and well said. There's absolutely no reason so be so extended all over the world especially when the finances aren't there to pay for it.

You're not American?

As for Rand Paul....... If I could vote, he gets my vote but there's every chance of another Bush getting into office and that could be another disaster.

Better to say it this way: "name one country which has a foreign policy worse than the USA?"

I would vote Rand Paul because I'm hoping that, like his father, he would focus on internal issues and his foreign policy would be very much non-interventionist.

Look at all the right wing outrage there was about Obama sending troops into Pakistan to kill bin Laden and this was after 9/11. Just think of the exploding heads had Clinton done the same prior to an attack in the US.. They would of been trying to impeach him for that one as well.

I love how these right wingers just love to play what if's like they live in a fairyland with unlimited hindsight. Always love to blame but never willing to accept any responsibility.

i prefer the way i worded it. it wasn't a loaded question and there is not a "better" way to word it. and i can name plenty of countries with worse foreign policy, which is completely not the point of the question.

you show yourself to be a complete brainwashed sheep with the use of right wingers. It's not like anyone was asking Clinton to have precognition of 9-11. There are over a dozen acts of terror associated to OBL during Clinton's terms. He was a known quantity during the Clinton years, on the FBI top ten wanted list. But I guess I am just making that up or it was bush #1's fault. guys like you make my stomach turn-I spit on you

I hate glenn beck- I dont care for shawn hannity(or whatever his name is) dont particularly care for Rush limbaugh(dont even know if he has a radio show anymore). Anyone that says something you dont agree with you lump into a rightwing nut category. Hence the problem with the country. People are so easily brainwashed in our society and politics has turned into a sporting event. You chose this side and I chose the other then we call eachother names. Meanwhile we let "our guy" get away without doing his job. I feel sorry for you.

I don't know any country that has a similar one to ours. I'm speaking of the "foreign policy" of having a giant military and using it to force people to our will worldwide.
Or "sanctions" against other countries that only hurt the actual citizens of those countries while making their bad leaders even more popular for standing up to "the evil United States".

If nothing else...one only has to look at the RESULTS of our decades of that kind of "foreign policy" (basically since the end of WW2) and realize it ain't working.

I don't care what the original INTENT of our foreign policy was (if anyone can even remember anymore)...what counts is the RESULT of it.

And from what I see...the world is as dangerous as ever, poverty is still a worldwide problem, the U.S. is killing people with our military yet again (haven't seemed to really stop since WW2).

If that is the U.S. being the "world leader" (not sure why the "world" would ever want that)...then it's time to rethink things in my opinion.

Interesting, considering Democrats controlled the WH and both chambers of Congress until recently. When were all of those laws passed?

I don't see a gun one up there. I guess it is because Obama has expanded gun rights.

I predict there will end up being about 10 republican candidates before the end of the year.

I think he was pointing out that Jindal is not Hispanic, and that you were just assuming that because of his skin color.

@baddog, you asked where I traveled that I saw that hatred?
Well, the first thing you need to do if you want to see it yourself is NOT go to webmaster conventions in the tourist parts of town in Germany and Amsterdam or any of the big capital cities of Europe.

In other words all the tourists spots that you see when you are at European adult webmaster conventions.

That would be like somebody coming from another country to the U.S. and judging how people felt by only visiting Las Vegas and Disney World.

I first realized how people feel about us in the mid 1980's when I toured in South America with my band. The upper class people loved America. The people living in the dirt and being ground down by the U.S. DEA weren't so loving.

My brother-in-law just got back from a tour of duty in the middle east. No love there at ALL.
And he spent about 2 years based out of Germany and had his family living there with him. The locals aren't exactly loving up on American's either (the REAL locals, not the tourist and military industry people).
He had plenty of stories to tell about that.

In more recent times...I love going to Jamaica. But once you walk off that resort? You have to be real careful. But that isn't so much hate towards the American govt. as it is a high crime rate.

I've never seen much hatred in Mexico. But I spent most of my time at resorts on the ocean down there.
In 2011 & 2012 I went down to Tijuana a half dozen times and stayed at a hotel there. I walked the streets, partied at clubs at night, etc. Nothing real "tourist", and no real hatred either.

I'd say that Europe, Mexico, Japan, and Canada are all "non-hate" (though the locals don't really like us much either).

Now once you expand out of that...people seem to hate the U.S. and I can't blame them in most cases.

Got a buddy who does work in China. He said the people there are real curious about us. But the govt. keeps him on a leash when he's on the mainland.

I suppose it's mostly countries whom we have hurt through our policies. South American countries for instance because we bullied them about their drug production and caused farmers to lose their income and have to grow corn and other low money crops.

The Middle East (of course) because that's been the main thrust of our "foreign policy" for decades now because of the oil.

Big part of Africa and Indonesia because there are so many muslims there and they take up the battle of their "brothers" with the U.S.

Anyway, you can also ask people you know from other countries. I'm sure they can fill you in (in case you didn't notice all the terror threats against the U.S. and fighting around the world by our military.)

Thank you for explaining to the crockett scientist.

As for the second part, you make a lot of assumptions.

Hell, that's about the only reason I travel anymore...for business.

But yeah, I'd love to travel the world and see a lot of different places without all the tourist traps.
But unfortunately many of the places I'd like to see (like the pyramids in Egypt for instance) are too dangerous because of all the "love" that people have for us Americans worldwide.

I went to Egypt in 2000. The people were interesting. Those involved in the tourist industry and trying to sell to tourist all were nice. However, our tour guide warned us against going to non-tourist areas and told all the women in the tour group to no go out without a guy with them.

On the last night in Aswan (a city in the far south of Egypt) a group of us wanted to go to hookah bar. The only place that would even serve women made us sit outside and there were a few bars we went to before that where we were told that they don't serve Americans.
