Uwe Boll on point, funny rant about Hollywood

I only know this director of his hilariously horrible video game movies and was surprised to see his latest non-videogame movies scoring consistently above a 6 on imdb...

now it seems the guy has a failed kickstarter for some sequel and he's pissed at the industry.. he is actually making sense, especially the part about the superhero movies, its like hearing myself talk i tried to watch captain america a while ago, and it's one of the, if not THE, worst movie i have seen in the last decade (I'm not exaggerating).

If you think Captain America is the worst movie in the last decade, then I'd like to know what you think is good.

I hope you're trolling... you really think that movie is even watchable? How can you enjoy something that bad? And it isn't even 'so bad its funny'... it's just a very, very bad movie, period. Reminded me of a power rangers tv episode, but lamer. "an enemy, let's hurl my lame shield" CLUNCK!!!! It's so fucking ridiculous

he's the almost worst director of all times - whatever he says no one cares about

(but I wouldn't say it to his face)

Do you mean The Winter Soldier? That was actually a solid political thriller, as well as being a good action movie. The first Captain America wasn't so great, but to call it the worst movie ever is hyperbolic. I think you're the one being the troll.

I'm sure if you list some movies you think are good, it'll be a list that resembles a tower of shit.

Actually I like the Captain America movies. When the first Captain America came out I was expecting it to be semi low-budget like the first Thor was, but I was really impressed. I thought the story was good and the acting great, and WOW the Visual effects. When I saw it the first time I couldn't believe that Steve Rogers was played by the same actor as "Skinny Steve" and Captain America. It was only after I saw VFX breakdowns of the movie that I learned it was done through some incredible mind-blowing CG.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is by far the best of all the Marvel movies to date. The story is really, really good. The bad guy is totally believable and the action sequences are the best. I've watched most of the Marvel movies at least twice, but I've watched Winter Soldier 4 times now and find myself really into it each time. Robert Redford was a cool touch too - for some reason he ads a cold war / spy / 70's touch to the film. I can't explain it but it works. It was also cool to see Jenny Agutter kick some ass.

Anyway fuck Uwe Boll. He makes the worlds shittiest movies. If he wants to be taken seriously its time for him to learn to be an artist.

I didn't like the first one, but the second one was great. Lots of fun.

Not much of what he said needs director credentials though.

Actually, just seeing someone write Uwe Boll and "on point" in the same sentence lets you know he probably has shit opinions about most things.

Rampage and Assault on Wall Street were both surprisingly good. I don't think I've been able to sit through any of his other movies all the way through.

I don't understand how you can rave about that extremely childish cookie cutter movie. Usually i can place myself in the taste others have, i can understand why someone thinks a movie is good. But for people who like this movie, i really don't understand... or you have to look at just the pretty pictures? I don't know. The propaganda in it is also a bit sickening.

These comic book action movies are only good for shutting your brain off for a few hours. If you were to ask me one thing that happened in any of them I wouldn't be able to tell you because it goes out as fast as it went in. If you're over the age of 18 and love these movies you're a dim wit fuckin retard.

as long as i remember on here, the only thing you do when it comes to movies is going into threads where people say how they liked a movie and you tell everyone why you think it's shit.

probably all super hero movies though, so i agree i am consistent with disliking almost every superhero movie i've seen. Gave it alot of tries but those are the only type of movies i often don't even finish watching.

btw the last movie thread i posted in was about Nightcrawler, now that is a really good movie. Mindless fun i like as well, watched John Wick and that was entertaining as hell.
