Fake apps visit porn sites & click on ads

Google removes 'porn clicker' malware from its Play Store | Computerworld

Google has removed dozens of apps from its Play Store that purport to be games but secretly click on advertisements on pornographic websites.
Guess who got the bill ???

Does apple ask for access to all that info too?

It's gotten to the point where I use my smartphone only for calls, and nothing else. And do all business only from my PC/Notebook, where I dont have to give out weird permissions.

idk about apple, dont have one, so maybe someone who owns apple can comment.,

but imho
its because of poor coding skills
or maybe app really needs it
or bcoz of malicious intention..

Here is a scenario to consider:

Someone who owns a 'free porn site' (AKA: tube, filelocker, etc.) becomes an ad network publisher and gets $1.30/M for ad clicks. Then he colludes with an app developer to make a Trojan app to click the ads published on his website -- he gets paid for all this fraudulent traffic and the networks sell the buying Advertisers the traffic.

I may have seen, and have bought and paid for, some of this fraudulent traffic. Why do some ads really suck-ass for conversions and have incredible bounce rates? They found this guy but how long did he scam for and how many millions did he rip the networks and their advertisers off for?

Which begs the question how much of the traffic available to buy t is actual traffic vs fake

In my own observation all networks are infested with fake traffic which loads javascript, saves cookies and generates some clicks so it's very hard to detect. Depends from where you buy the ratio of fake vs real traffic can be as bad as 10:90 but virtually you can't buy traffic without a percentage of it being fake

I's just normal some people will always try to generate fake traffic and sell it, easy buck

THIS is the question we all need to be asking. When you hear all the claims out there, it makes you wonder how we have more traffic than humanly possible available for sale.
