Company Tax In UK Is 20%
Is this the lowest rate in Europe?
When did this happen? I thought it was 24%..... UK is looking very interesting for business right now. |

it's lower in france, it is just that you have to pay much more taxes, so at the end it's more expensive....

There are at least 3 other E.U. States with less than 20% rate.

Definitely not the lowest. I would say in the middle or so. Average.
And I checked that it is 21%. 20% is for under 300k profits. Not that we are big ballers there, just saying that 20% is not for all companies. But - Corporate tax is not the most important tax you should worry about. If you have employees - taxes on them is the most important. And if your business does not have to be specifically in certain country - salaries is even more important. So what if you have few percent lower corporate tax if you pay double or triple the salaries etc. Profit comes afterwards. And when it comes you also consider income tax on dividents (note: income tax on dividents may be different than just income tax in said country). So basically no experienced business owner care that much about corporate tax. Except for holding type companies. |

Well I never said it was the lowest in Europe..... however, at 20% they're really closing the gap with their neighbor Ireland.
And if I take along all the other benefits of being in the UK particularly London, although I love (Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds just as much), it looks like quite an attractive option today right now. |
