adultcentro Prediction for the Democratic and Republican nominees

Clinton and Sanders will duel it out for a bit then Biden is gonna jump in and pretty much obliterate the race and I predict Biden as the nominee

Trump is gonna ride it out and eventually he will get the nomination....

Trump v Biden for the next Presidential race....

That would be interesting. Biden would run on Obama's coat tails and Trump on changing everything that Obama did!

I think there may be a hidden agenda behind Paul Ryan not accepting the Speaker of the House position

Joe Biden is a lose cannon ...

Biden vs Cruz

The "outsider's" Trump, Carson, Fiorina popularity will fade by July.

I think there is very little excitement in the Democratic party right now.

I don't think Biden has the power to knock down Hillary. Although he might be VP, he was more of a joke than anything, and Americans in general know very little about him.

I don't even plan on watching the debate tonight.

Biden is a joke. Hilary will have to drop out to keep out of jail in all likely-hood. Once more of the uninformed knows Bernie Sanders is literally a socialist he will drop out of the discussion.

It is a Republican year, no doubt about it. I do hope Biden gets their bid, he has some great drunken racial slurs caught on camera. Uncle Joe is entertaining if nothing else.

I'm just surprised that Biden is being praised by the media so much.

When Biden ran for President in 1988 (yeah, he's pretty old) he had to drop out of the race in total disgrace for plagiarizing a speech.

The media came after him hard on that. He was pretty much labeled as unfit to be the President (by the media).

And now...he is "Uncle Joe" and the media just can't get enough of him. And they NEVER mention what happened back then. It's as if it never did happen.

Yeah...you should vote for Trump, because Obama has turned the country into a jobless hellscape. At least that's the fantasy world you live in.

The sad part is the number 2 GOP candidate makes Trump look like a good choice. Carson is a fucking nut case and he keeps getting worse.

As for the Democrts.. I just can't see Hillary as a solid choice and I hope she doesn't get the nomination. Biden to me is kinda a lot like Mitt Romney (no not a scumbag like Romney) I just couldn't see either of them as president but Biden at least might be a safe bet.

As for Bernie.. He's my favorite as I think he's the only candidate that actually gives a fuck about the American people. However I think he likely has about as much chance of winning as Trump does.

it's too bad Hills is a Clinton, entrenched in politics, and untrustworthy, because she does say a lot of the right things. i just think she says those things because she knows those are the things she's supposed to say. she dodges a lot at the same time.

I dunno why the right makes a big deal of "the Clintons" like they are some political dynasty. It's not like Bill's daddy was president then him next a random brother or his wife. You guys try far too hard to paint them like they are the same as the Bushes, Kennedy's or something.

The problem with Hillary is she just has that annoying bitch aditude that makes you think she will stab you in the back the moment you cross her.

my opinion of Hills is my own. you need to make me a "right" so you can continue your "trolling of repbulican gfyers as you pointed out in a recent thread of your's. i'm going to do a poll and let's see how many gfyers actually identify as republican. i think you'll see you're not trolling anyone and just make up a bunch of shit about gfyers so you can then point your finger at them.

Republicans are embarrassed to identify as what they are, so they call themselves "independent". But when all of your opnions come out leaning heavy to the right...well. You know what they say about ducks and quacking.

I'd like to see Kasich as the Republican, but then I'm someone who thinks the real RINOs are the ultraconservative tea party social conservatives.

If he runs I figure Biden will get the Democratic nomination even with his baggage, just because such a large portion of the voting population dislikes Clinton. Plus, Biden at least seems sincere, rather than someone just saying what everyone wants to hear.

oh, what do you know, the Clinton's are in fact considered a political family'

The Clintons, Rodhams, Lockharts, Boxers and Mezvinskys[edit]
Bill Clinton (born 1946), 42nd President of the United States, 1993?2001, Governor of Arkansas, 1979?1981, 1983?1992, Attorney General of Arkansas, 1976?1978, failed Congressional candidate, 1974; husband of Hillary Rodham Clinton.[319]

Hillary Rodham Clinton (born 1947), United States Secretary of State, 2009?2013; former United States Senator from New York, 2001?2009; First Lady of the United States, 1993?2001; First Lady of Arkansas, 1979?1981, 1983?1992; Chair, Legal Services Corporation, 1978?1982; Legal Counsel, House Judiciary Committee, 1974; Democratic candidate for U.S. President, 2008; 2016, wife of Bill Clinton.[320]
Hugh Rodham (brother of Hillary), Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator from Florida, 1994.[321]
Note: Bill Clinton (born William Blythe) is not related to the Clinton family of New York. He is, however, third cousin twice removed of Congressman James A. Lockhart.[322] Hillary Rodham Clinton and Hugh Rodham's brother, Anthony, is also former son-in-law of U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer.[323] William and Hillary's daughter, Chelsea, is also daughter-in-law of U.S. Representatives Edward Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky.[324]

the fact you think that sort of logic is bile from no meds or wtfever you're trying to spew there does explain a lot.

you guys are dreaming if you think Trump will stick in that long, and even if he does, you're dreaming he will win as a republican nominee.

Still, I am hoping he does though. Trump or any other republican will be flat-out knock-down humiliated until they pee their pants if they go up against Hillary Clinton. If they end up going against Biden, it will be 10 times worse, and 10 times more pee.

Odd. I've been hearing something similar to that every week since mid-June.

Maybe, but he's already starting to lose in the polls, and Crazy Ben Carson is climbing really fast now. I think Trump is running out of insult-steam and will realize that saying nutty things doesn't get him the applause it used to. He'll have to get serious and when he does, realize the job is much tougher than he thought.

That being said though, I really hope he sticks it through to the end because he's (a) still an entertaining doofus, and (b) making all the other republican nominees waste their money.

I left out the rest of your opinionated rambling to address what I think is happening with Carson.

I believe he's the "Rick Santorum" of this campaign.
In other words...the guy that the "religious right" has finally decided to hang their hat on.

I think that they weren't sure about it at first, but now they are full in with Carson.

After watching the debate tonight I thought that Clinton did really well.
Sanders came of as more "real" than anyone else.
O'Malley seemed to be a bit strident and desperate for attention.
Webb and Chafee didn't seem to me to be up for this. I think that they could both shut their campaigns down tomorrow and nobody would notice.

it's odd people are still claiming Trump is not serious. same people were claiming he wasn't serious 5 months ago, way back in June when Trump mania kicked in. even more odd is Biden is taken seriously in spite of not even being in the race and being considered a clown by many.

who knows how it will play out but one thing is certain and that's both those guys are serious.

In the national poll Carson is gaining on him an he has lost a few points, but most of Carson's support has likely come at the expense of the other, non-Trump, candidates. Carson is within 6 points in Iowa, but way behind in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Those are the first three republican primaries. Carson can make moves since they are still 5 months away, but if Trump wins those three states most of the other candidates will likely drop out of the race. If that happens he could ride that momentum to the nomination. Anything could happen between now and then, but if Trump hangs on to the lead he has now and takes that into the primaries he will be hard to beat.

All that said, I think for him to actually hold that lead he needs to start talking more about his policies and ideas and not just bash everyone else. The shit show is fun to watch, but eventually people want to hear that he has an actual plan aside from "I'll be great!"

Biden has also flatly said he is not in a mental place for the job due to his son.

Uh, hello.

The Republican Party isn't going to nominate a guaranteed loser. Trump is a caricature. Cruz is Tea Party. Paul is too Libertarian.

My guess would be Jeb Bush, but even he leans a little too left for the majority of the party. However, he probably has the best chances in a Presidential race just for that reason.

The Democratic Party has all but officially nominated Clinton. Sanders is gaining fast and has a very good shot at the nomination if Clinton can't clean up her image quick. As current VP, Biden isn't going to pull any votes from the right, which is an issue for him.

Of course, this is all just my opinion, but my guess for the Presidential race would have to be Jeb Bush vs Hillary Clinton. That guess only slightly outweighs my second guess of Jeb Bush vs Bernie Sanders.

As I said above, it is still 4 months until the start of the primaries so a lot could happen, but Jeb will need a miracle. Nationally he is in 5th place polling at 7.3%. He is around that same number and in 5th or worse in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The state he is doing best in is Florida where he was Governor and he is still in 3rd there and about 11 points off the lead. Jeb will need to find some major mojo or have people in front of him screw up badly if he is going to make up that ground.

However, I do agree it will be Clinton for the democrats. Bernie might put up a fight, but in the end Clinton will likely win the nomination.

Historically, polls are a terrible method of judging these things. The polls are wrong more often than right. You would flip a coin and get better predictions. My guess of Jeb Bush might be way off, but something in my gut tells me it's not.

As for Clinton and Sanders, I really think Sanders is resonating more with voters. A lot of people don't like his socialist ideas, but that seems to be the only thing they don't like about him - other than his age. The only way Clinton is going to lock up the nomination is to get out ahead of her scandals and corporate backing.

Jeb Bush having that girl that is one of his staffers at the "no labels" meeting attacking Trump was just amazingly stupid.

I don't know if everyone knows what I'm talking about. But all the Republicans were giving speeches at Joe Lieberman's "No Labels" political gathering.
And a young woman was "randomly" chosen and asked Trump if he would make sure that women were paid equally AND that she would have control over her own body (talking about abortion)
And she was pretty belligerent in the way she asked the question and the mostly liberal crowd cheered her.

Trump answered that if she did a job as well as a man then yes she would make the same pay. He also went on to explain that he hired a woman to oversee the building of Trump Tower and that was unheard of at that time in the construction business (which is what he does). Then he told her that he was "pro-life".

The whole thing was supposed to look like a "liberal" woman was giving him grief over his stance on abortion.

Turns out the next day that the young lady is actually a staffer for Jeb Bush (who is also pro-life by the way)!!!

Pretty shady move by Bush's camp.

Actually, polling is very accurate at the time it is done. Meaning if the election were held today the poll numbers would likely be very close to how the election turned out. Of course, the polls can't tell the future. Next week someone could say or do something that seriously hurts or helps their campaign. In the last election there were 2 or 3 different republican poll leaders coming up to the primaries and none of them ended up winning the primary so it is hard to say for certain who will end up being the nominee now when we are months away from even casting a vote. Trump is in a good position if he can keep the momentum going, but that is hard to do.

I think Sanders is striking a chord with the far right, but I personally think he has pretty much maxed out his potential. They were disappointed in Obama for not being as liberal as they thought he was going to be and I think they see Hillary as being very similar to Obama in many areas. If they want a real left wing liberal Bernie is their guy. I just find myself wondering how much more of the party is willing to dump Hillary in support of him.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the winner is someone who hasn't even announced their candidacy yet. That's how bad the entire field is presently. Of the people running, Trump and Sanders would be the two most likely to be candidates. A lot of the result will come down to their running mates.

Someone like Tammy Duckworth would sway a ton of votes if she was on Sanders' ticket. Biography

Trumps biggest problem is I don't think he will be able to attract a marquee running mate and that will weaken him in the general election.

In any case it's a terrible selection compared to years ago when you had good candidates on both sides like Bill Clinton vs Dole.

Uh no.

what he's said is he doesn't know if he has the emotional strength to run and he would think about it. That was over a month ago and before he put teams together for his candidacy in various states.
