This made me curious. I did a quick search and found that nationwide the average police response time to an emergency is 10 minutes. Atlanta was the worst at 12 minutes.

I guess those numbers are all for bigger cities. I live in a small town that has enough cops that there are at least two officers on at all times so unless they are both actively involved in something very urgent they will arrive in a lot less than 10 minutes.
