This might look like a small list but let's keep in mind some of those regularly make the top 3 (high visibility)

Thanks drexl!

Ill try to keep an eye out for Chaturbate Models that violate that.
Just to be clear, what is against the rules with the Bio here?

1) Overlay Buttons?
2) Asking the user to register a new account when they already have one?
3) Linking outside Chaturbate to a different income source for them?
4) What else?

3) is not against the TOS for sure, many models giving away/selling their private contact info (Snapchat, Skype etc.). Twitter is also common. Chaturbate can't control what's being done outside their site, hence they should forbid any such activity. This would be the single most important thing, because this is a lot more common than the overlays imho. It would be in their best interest too, i'm unable to understand why such things are allowed. Biggest leak right there. I wouldn't allow the models selling anything else than videos, picture sets and have an Amazon wishlist maybe.

I personally think this whole overlay thing is blown out of proportions. There are 2-3k female models online at any given moment. Drexl who's onto this for a while now, was able to post like 10 models? One would think reading the last couple pages of this thread, that there are hundreds of models doing this.

Chaturbate is more like the wild west now, where almost anything goes. Take a look at Livejasmin in comparison. There's absolutely no linking outside of the site, no private contact info sharing. This is how it should be.

I agree with most of this, and certainly other sites have different policies that seem more logical (and ethical).

Chaturbate allows the "farwest" situation (at our expense) because it still works out for them.

I only listed a few models because I spent ~10 seconds. I don't think it is a small issue, you only need a handful to catch lots of precious whales since they can be stuck in the top 3 cams at the top of the screen for hours, day in day out. The case of Clara C. is a perfect illustration: she is only 1 model but look in her room the hundreds of guys who created a new account following her instructions and link (username starting with "c_").

Nothing, hence the "farwest"

2) Surely this must break the rules. Iv emailed them back with all the info about clara_chan so we will see what happens regarding her. I also suggested maybe putting it clearly in the site terms that this is not allowed then email everyone the new updated site terms. Probably pushing my luck with that though

check this out:
https://chaturbate.com/amy_and_john/

2 overlay buttons at the top + 1 at the bottom + the whole page is a clickable image with affiliate link.

I like your idea but I can't help it thinking only enforcing it technically is the solution.

And how about this:

1- change revshare into revshare lifetime (tie affiliate to customer instead of username)
2- have whitelabels cookie chaturbate domain (and subdomains to be sure)
3- make external links only clickable to registered members

Here is the culprit btw:

Quote:
Use the following 20% revshare link code to promote your chat room for an additional opportunity to earn more $$$. Copy the link below:
https://chaturbate.com/affiliates/

They talk on Twitter groups and/or whatsapp.

Except when it comes to the top banner, where models are technically prevented from overlaying anything (they can do it after all)

Asking us to send an email to Support for every single model who is planting affiliate links on the site is like saying "yeah sure, we'll look into that ..."

btw, I don't think links are technically implemented by models. It looks to me that a third party is providing that.

There's quite a few girls on AmberCutie forums. I haven't gone through the pages yet so don't know what they chat about.

I would post the link but not allowed just yet

I am not saying I am happy with it, I am not. It is our interpretation of the rules that is wrong.

Having said that, it is totally unethical and disrespectful towards webmasters. But what can we do? I would like a Chaturbate representative to comment on that "please register a new username with my link to support me".

What you see prominently on Ocicat's page is only the tip of the iceberg, imagine what's going on in private chats and social media etc ..

Also, there seems to be a business of helping models building their profiles: some third parties offer this service for a subscription. Models pay this service and they can add images, change fonts, and add buttons through the platform ... third party ... links ... Mmmm

As i said in an earlier post, people need to go through the "legal" terms of chaturbate ( i think its in the footer ). I think they have been smart with any writing on the site regarding revshare though. It just says "20% rev-share will be paid on all token purchases from referred traffic.". Nothing about that being for the lifetime of the referral whilst using the site

If they confirm they are allowing models to get away with it then we all get together and get a lawyer from BHW. Sure iv seen people doing it over there

There's a business definitely. A link to CB profile was posted before in this thread, who offer such service and there must be more. Not too long ago, i got a DMCA takedown request on one of my Twitter accounts (all of my accs are dormant, i haven't used them for anything since years). It came from a 3rd party, not the actual model. I investigated it a bit further and i found out, that it was sent by a guy, who actually has a profile on CB, was a model himself, but now he's there only to offer DMCA removal service and profile themes. None of this is against the rules, it just shows, that we might be in the wrong business.

You may be on to something here:

Quote:
...from referred "traffic"...
"traffic" means movement: A->B.
A link from chaturbate to chaturbate (A->A) should not qualify has "traffic" but rather it is "navigation".

And asking customers to use a different username or site is neither traffic nor navigation (well, it is traffic but in the other sense of the word!)

Yeah, if you break the rules then they are quick to point to the terms you signed upto when you joined as the reason to ban you. Rightfully so but its got to work both ways. They have to uphold the terms from our side. When a user created an account via my link, i expected him to be my affiliate for his lifetime using the site. Having models then steal them the way they are surely breaks the terms?. The terms & conditions are supposed to be there to protect the user as well as the owners

Same for me, and I have already started to research other alternatives. It feels like Chaturbate is focusing only on making their models happy, and the webmasters are a very low priority. I can understand why to a certain extent, but it also means that they have less interest in helping us webmasters...

Got a reply from Chaturbate support in regard to the ones i reported so fingers crossed something changes:

Thank you for your report. We appreciate your concern and we will take appropriate action. Please let us know if you have any additional details to share in the meantime.

Thank you,

chaturbate - whitelabel - analytics - bounce rate

I have a bounce rate of 85% on my whitelabel. (1 month period)

I have whitelabels powered by other cam sponsors using a similar look and feel (logo, colors, ..) and the bounce rate is a lot better (30~40%). Besides, the chaturbate wl is obviously showing free stuff so I would expect users to stay.

I can't imagine chaturbate.com bounce rate is that high

That seems like a red flag. What is your bounce rate? Any idea why this is happening?

chaturbate - whitelabel - whitelabels blacklisted

A particular broadcaster's chatroom is not viewable on any whitelabels. It is only accessible on chaturbate.com: when attempting to go to her chatroom from a whitelabel, it redirects to the homepage.

There seems to be a X-Frame-Options HTTP response header set to DENY.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and who is blacklisting our whitelabels?

It is not the first time I see this. I was wondering if a cb app can do this since they are done in javascript but the above happens even if the broadcaster is offline. I have yet to look at js development on the chaturbate app platform to see the potential.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and who is blacklisting our whitelabels?

I may be wrong but i think there is an option for model to up-out from Affiliates promotion ?
I wonder if this would cause the : X-Frame-Options HTTP response header set to DENY

I think you're right! I just saw it in the broadcaster' settings:

Appear on network sites: Yes/No (You will have less viewers if you choose NO)

Yup, still there. And still no good answers from Chaturbate. Atleast they could start an investigation on what is actually going on but it still seems like they don't care. Welp, im starting new websites soon and i think my new websites won't become part of the Chaturbate Whitelabel Program when this continues..

I got a reply from Steve but no answer really

Steve CB> Users do not get moved from your accounts. Once a user signs up under your referral link, that username is tied to your account for the life of their account.

Me> The girls are asking for people to create new accounts under there affiliate code.

Steve CB> Broadcasters are allowed to post links and banners with their affiliate code in it. They aren't allowed to do it in a malicious or deceptive manner.

Me> I have no problem with them having aff links but they are asking for people to sign up again like this one https://m.chaturbate.com/ocicat/ and https://m.chaturbate.com/clara_chan/ if people sign up again with a clean browser/cookie I'm going to loose them. Is there no way to link a user full name or card details.

Steve CB> no reply yet

I had a dream Last night

I was looking to hire Designer / Photoshop Expert to design for me studio and model Profile.
Also i was browsing twitter to recruit 4 more models to open up my own studio on CB.

The best part was i knew i will not need to spend any money in Advertising ,
those Stupid affiliate will send traffic to my studio model page and i will just Steal their members sign up and will forward them to my own Cam site
build with script like https://www.modelnet.club/ with my studio model ( private message and personal email are great for this sharing process )

ALL in ALL >>>> this is How to maximise 100% of your CAM profit in 2019

The alarm on my cell goes on and i woke up

Original affiliate cookies cannot be overwritten on Chaturbate.com regardless of the linking URL used. The original affiliate that refers a surfer will get credit for the registration/sale. If a surfer clicks an affiliate link to Chaturbate, and then purchases tokens using a broadcasters affiliate link, the original affiliate will get credit for that purchase and all future purchases. Once a surfer is associated to an affiliate, it’s permanent regardless of linking URLs used.

Broadcasters on Chaturbate are allowed to post their referral links on their bio. They are not allowed to overlay any site function or mislead users with their banners/links. Please submit any instances you see of broadcasters overlaying site design or misleading users to [email protected] so it can be reviewed.

All of the broadcasters you listed are not covering up site function or being misleading.

Cookies are domain based so the above is true if you refer through a chaturbate.com affiliate link but is it also true if a surfer (unregistered user) is on your whitelabel (different domain), then clicks on a broadcaster's chaturbate.com aff. link?
I think in this case the original affiliate gets screwed because the chaturbate.com cookie has not been written by the original affiliate.

Related question: what about subdomains: whitelabel.chaturbate.com, en.chaturbate.com, m.chaturbate.com, ... etc are they all planting a cookie on the top domain also?

Now, equally concerning, if a registered user on your wl clicks on one of the cb aff. links, why would he keep the same username when moving over to cb.

Permanent until the user changes his username or until is lifetime as a customer regardless of the username he signs up under?

One of the broadcaster that is listed here has a blinking orange signup button overlay covering the original one, are you confirming this is accepted? She was mentioned like wll over a year ago.

Another one listed above has a large image covering your top ad banner, is this not falling in the "covering up site function" category. She also entices existing customers to sign up a new account under her aff. link. You confirm this is permitted?
She must be smiling big time when she reads us crying like babies here but I bet you she'd be smiling less if it was done to her.

I think the general concern is that most of the webmasters here put a lot of efforts (brain, financial, time, ..) into building all sorts of ingenious ways to drive traffic to chaturbate with the idea that the customer-affiliate tie was indeed permanent and we are afraid to lose the financial benefits to some sneaky ways.

Neither ocicat or clara_chan have anything covering their sign up buttons.

Please submit any instances you see of broadcasters overlaying site design or misleading users to [email protected] so it can be reviewed.

Okay, if you take clara_chan as an example: surely you see now that she is covering the "login" button which you just said above is not permitted: "They are not allowed to overlay any site function".
It is not just a function, it is a major function.

As per others, it is true that they moved their flashy buttons slightly off to the left presumably on Support's recommendations. That's a relief.

The real issue is underlined in my previous post. If they can make a profit by inciting customers to re-sign up then there's an issue.

I appreciate you come here in the arena talk to us btw. We bark a lot but we're good people ;)

Quick question about the program. Do we get commission when our registered users join fan clubs? Like for example Blazefyre has 124 fans paying 21$ per month, do we get 20% of that?

According to the ToS I think it should be, but I don't know if some of my registered users are fans.

The ToS:
Definition of Adjusted Gross Receipts. As used herein, “Adjusted Gross Receipts” means gross payments received from a subject user, less any chargebacks (including amounts paid as a result of credit card abuse or fraud, or paid to such subject user by us to settle a claim involving the allegation of credit card or other abuse or fraud) or any uncollectable revenue attributable to the subject user.

Paying User Referrals. As used herein, a “Referred User” means an Internet user who creates a new Chaturbate user account as a result of clicking an existing user’s User Referral Link. Eligible users will receive a commission equal to 20% of Adjusted Gross Receipts paid by each of their Referred Users to the Site.

They say:

Quote:
20% rev-share will be paid on all token purchases from referred traffic.
And from what I see, joining a fanclub doesn't involve using tokens. So I would be inclined to say you are not making anything from this.

I am no expert, I could be wrong
