Just got hit with a major chargeback :( Spender since 2015, has spent across all 5 years. Just charged back the past few months to the tune of near to $5k. I lost almost $1000 in commissions.

Almost 2 weeks ago a good spender of me (around 2.5 - 3K a month) did a chargeback and after this i didnt see him anymore, i am so pissed off...

Once they chargeback their account is canceled I think. They can do a refund for a mistake type thing but if they call in and say they didn't make thhose charges, etc, they are canceled and I think technically not allowed to sign up again. Don't quote me on that, it is just my understanding.

So, yeah, if you have a whale and then that whale charges back you have no0w lost your whale.

Wow, that's brutal, sorry to hear that. Makes you wonder what he said to get that many chargebacks approved and if the current Corona situation caused him financial hardship and this was his way of trying to recover some money.

This was my thinking also, but something recently made me think otherwise. Last summer I had a whale who had spent over 70k. He routinely spent $500-1000 weekly and always made the max $320 purchase. All of a sudden last June there was a chargeback for him for one $320 purchase. Then nothing after that and I figured his account was canceled.

Recently I noticed his account # had a recent spend using the enhanced stats provided by Tayax. Upon further inspection I noticed that account had been billed the $20/month CB upgrade membership fee monthly for the last 8 months. So it seems the member was most likely cut off from making additional spends, but somehow his account and credit card are still active to continue to be billed monthly by CB. I'm assuming the member probably doesn't even realize the charges are happening.

It makes me wonder on a whale like that what made him chargeback that spend after making hundreds of them. Probably one model that pissed him off in a private or maybe he mistakenly tipped the wrong amount and contacted CB, who knows.

Chargebacks are painful, but what makes it even more painful is that the member no longer spends with you after that. In my experience whales are addicted to cams and if they can't spend with you, they are going to easily find another site to spend on, they don't just stop.

Unfortunately i have to agree with you here, even tho i don't like to. It also seems like, that the more traffic i try to generate and send to my WL's the lesser revenue i get. 2019 was bad, mid 2019 i started to send a lot of traffic to CB again and actually thought that it would get better in 2020. But it seems like, the longer i am staying, the less the revenue becomes. March was actually now the worst month i ever had since promoting CB for 4 years now. And i've been promoting it very heavily in the last 3-5 months. :( - And like you said, its not about getting less money. But it's about time investment and what you actually get out of it. At this point, if it continues like that, i don't see any reason to continue promoting it as well, as there is stuff out there, that will make me more money with less time invested.

I wish we could block out signatures or they would implement something so that new registrations are still associated to the referred affiliate. I don't understand why they don't care for their webmaster affiliates. When i check the front page the webcams all have signatures with "Create new account" text's in them. I mean sure, CB doesn't lose as they will still get their money but they really should think about taking more care for their webmasters as i don't think a lot of people will tolerate it more longer when their revenue is going down the shitter. Mine decreased -80% if i compare it to 2 years ago.

I totally agree with you, with some database rules and queries they can establish that, and also set the registrations back to the affiliate that brought them in.

Out of that it's about time that CB is going to refresh the GUI, when you look to other camsites CB is outdated.

If you mean technical, no idea. In the roboscripts admin panel you can select which site to pull models from. IIRC cams.com is not an option. Just wondering if it’s in the works.

From what you said it looks like the roboscripts developer has to implement a function to parse cams.com specific feed. TBC.

Of course I guessed that roboscripts is a cam aggregator but I haven't used it. I am a programmer myself, I did custom cam aggegation for my Mechbunny tubes.

This is not specific to cb, or even to cam sites. It happens when a consumer claims to have never received the goods/service as promised at the time of purchase.

Anyone that owns a credit card, no matter what country they reside, can dispute a charge and in most cases get a refund.

Chargebacks can also happen when a fraudulent credit card is used to make a purchase on a site. Then the theft is reported and all charges are charged back.

I could have written this same comment myself. Throwing more traffic at the problem is not going to help.

The fact that they turn a blind eye to the obvious leaking, the CSS issue and the lack of response to email support is the icing on the cake.
