That just shocked me, once i checked it myself. Why on earth would they remove the CSS Function for the Whitelabel Affiliates but keep it open for the models that keep on abusing it? How is that fair?

I dont know... Models can abuse what they want and we are getting tied up on hands and feet. Just found a good way to use the whitelabel a couple of days ago, but unfortunately its alrdy over

It seems the CSS edits I had are still active. Is this some sort of grandfathering situation?

Why would they bother to do this? The benefits are minimal.

I wonder if there is a security situation with links being affected. That would explain a lot.

The old css edits are still active yes. If they do it for security then they better can take down all the bullshit on the models sites, there's a lot of suspicious links etc.

All these problems have been known for a long time, even while he was still in business.
If I go through this thread backwards, I can not find an answer from him,
why these models are still online or the mods do not find such rooms alone.

I already send a ticket yesterday and reported tow of that rooms.
Furthermore, I have asked the question whether the chat admins are blind,
incompetent or involved in the profit.

They redirect the revshare traffic to their own premium cam site, years ago.
Why not this time to an adsense page or pornhub revshare account?

I don't think there are chat admins actively monitoring profiles, the chat room, the user lists (bot accounts are still heavily used to push certains always rooms to the top) or anything at all. Support only reacts to reports made by others.

Why they can't hire a student who just flips through rooms...beyond me. This would even be a kinda fun job and it would do sooo much good to the site.

You are both right, nothing so easy to go flip trough all rooms and look if everything is OK according the rules, but i think they dont care about it. Even when we report then there is not always taken action, for instance "Siswet", reported a lot of times but still the same with al the overlays and links.

I would love to see the custom css back, then we have the possibility to push away a lot of overlays and links, but i think they removed the custom css because of that.

CSS edit available, but the WL seems ignore both custom css (mobile & desktop).

Hope that will be fixed asap because many models ruins the UX with hundreds of links / overlay buttons (stealing affiliate commissions as well).

On friday i have reported that overlay of emiily_way and i got answer that they would take appropriate action. The overlay is gone but the profile is still there...

It is disabled on newly created whitelabels.

I think this is a business decision: css for models is okay because it helps drive traffic to chaturbate.com where they can monetize their ad banners. The business workflow is to use webmasters brands and traffic to introduce new customers to their system. Then a second step is to allow these new customers to move from whitelabel to main brand.

Models are working hard to campaign so that customers move to cb so why would cb do anything against them? Worst case scenario the migrated users use the same username (rev share still goes to original affiliate) or the user creates a new username and the revshare goes to the model, or the revshare is lost all together (0% comission to give). In any case it works for their brand and they make $$ with the banners.

Of course it all makes sense business wise but ethically, it is not very nice to webmasters.
One solution I would be more happy with is if whitelabels had cb ad banners and models were not allowed to plant their affiliate links on the site itself. Models can still be affiliates but they plant their link on a website like everyone else. This would be a win for everyone.

We can't do anything now, not make a better and more attractive layout anymore to get customers, and most of all, block the overlay buttons like "Siswet" is using.

Model or affiliate, they both bring the money to CB, so it looks normal to me that they give us the same possibilities.

Just to be clear, in this instance I wasn't praising models, I was merely highlighting the fact that they put a lot of energy helping cb (without realizing it), by placing overlay buttons, it pulls some customers away from your whitelabels towards the main brand where the ad banners are generating revenue.

This is why I suggested a win-win business alternative would be to allow cb ad banners on whitelabels and disallow affiliate links on the site (model links). Another alternative would be to tie customer to a webmaster to a higher level than just the username, thus if the user signs up under a new username, he still belongs to you, but that only makes sense to us webmasters.

While i do understand this, i do not understand why they are simply ignoring the emails. I know they recieved them because i always get the automated message but i (and GoCastaway) have written several eMails on this subject and they are all left unanswered. A simple explanation or atleast a reply back would satisfy me.
