The Official 2016 Trump Thread Announcement Winner...

So I know it's only 2015 right now but this thread will become the official thread which announces Donald J Trump as the 2016 to 2020 US president.

What say you... nay, yah, or no comment?

I'm going to say he wins simply because we have a black president right now and that didn't turn out well... so the masses are going to go with trump because he is rich, and most people want to be rich as well.

Nobody really gives a shit about shootings in CA or NY... they want to know how they can make more money. So that's that... Donald Trump will win!

Hillary will wipe the floor with Trump. He doesn't stand a chance.

I guess we'll see.

Right now he is just starting to turn his attention on her.

Here was the latest polling from last week before he set her in his sites the last couple of days:
2016 General Election: Trump vs. Clinton - Polls - HuffPost Pollster

As of this time...Hillary is ahead 5.4% in the polls over Trump in the general election.

Margin of error in polling is around 5% (depending on the amount of people polled).
Now that he is coming after her...those numbers are going to start changing.

I think Hillary will be in for rough times if Trump is the Republican candidate.

If you notice, the more Trump speaks and is seen by people...the higher his numbers go (probably because people are surprised at what he actually is saying as opposed to what the media claims he is saying).

And the more Hillary speaks and makes appearances...the lower her numbers go.

So this will be very, very interesting.

It will be Hillary, backed by hundreds of millions of dollars of special interest money & the media VS Trump and the people.

Question for you. Let's take all the "passion", for lack of a better word, out of political conversation for a moment. Take out all the hate speech, all the pointless remarks, etc, and lets boil the conversation down to facts, facts facts.

Which person, Trump or Hillary/Bernie, do you think will know what to do the first day in office? And which do you think will do a better job bringing general overall improvement to the country?

I just read an article this morning that says it all. The Republican party seems to be loosing ground. The Republican party seems to be loosing in all demographics including Hispanics (very important), blacks, and whites.

Here are some high lights...

- In 2012, Democrats made up 44.7 percent of party-affiliated likely voters, compared to 39.1 percent Republicans, a difference of about 6 percentage points, according to the analysis of 87,778 likely presidential voters polled leading up to the 2012 presidential election. The results have a credibility interval of plus or minus 0.3 percentage points.

- Three years later, that lead had grown to nine points, 45.9 percent to 36.9 percent, according to the analysis of 93,181 likely presidential voters polled in 2015. The results in 2015 have the same credibility interval as 2012.

- Among Hispanics who are likely presidential voters, the percentage affiliated with the Republican Party has slipped nearly five points, from 30.6 percent in 2012 to 26 percent in 2015. Meanwhile, Hispanic Democrats grew by six percentage points to 59.6 percent.

- Among whites under 40, the shift is even more dramatic. In 2012, they were more likely to identify with the Republican Party by about 5 percentage points. In 2015, the advantage flipped: Young whites are now more likely to identify with the Democratic Party by about 8 percentage points.

- Meanwhile, black likely voters remain overwhelmingly Democratic, at about 80 percent

Mark, the United States Federal govt. is under the control of a group of people. You yourself have noted it in some of your comments about the Koch Brothers and big corporations such as oil companies. You can also add in George Soros and "green energy" as well.

That has caused our govt. to make HORRIBLE decisions based on nothing more than satisfying the people who OWN the politicians.

Defense contractors want more of the Federal gravy train? No problem! Bush sends us to war!
Pharmaceutical companies want more money? No problem! The govt. authorizes them to price gouge their U.S. customers.
Insurance companies want more money? No problem! ObamaCare!

You see what I'm saying? Wars, national debt, racial division. Those are the things that the politicians have given us for decades because it suits their benefactors.

I believe that the PEOPLE of the United States are tired of the govt. and the media telling us that everything is "okay" when we can see it's not.
People are tired of watching the govt. enrich it's cronies while the nation is drowning in debt.

I think that is what Trump represents. It's what I said from the beginning.

He represents someone who is NOT owned by anybody. And won't have to answer to anybody.

And his campaign is a huge blow to the embedded establishment figures who decide who wins and doesn't win the elections.

THAT is the most important thing for our country right now.
Not what Trump says...but what he represents.

Surely you realize that once Trump is in office he will appoint the best people in the world to positions of power underneath him.
As he said himself...Caroline Kennedy is the Ambassador to Japan. She was just bored with nothing to do so Obama appointed her. What an embarrassment and it shows why we get our asses handed to us economically by Japan.

The effect of having a person elected that is NOT handpicked by the Koch Brothers, or George Soros, or Big Oil, in the backroom politics of this country is the best thing for this country.

I hear what you are saying Robbie, but lets clarify something. I wouldn't say the government is under control by certain people. It's influenced for sure. For example, Koch is dumping millions into Jeb, but its not working. Big oil is lobbying too, but even they are losing ground to "green" thinking.

I want to say control, but its not absolute control. Call me hopeful.

Anyway, I get it. Taken at face value, Trump seems to be doing everything on his own. He is a stand-alone guy without any obvious ties to any special groups. That's good.

What's wrong with him though is that he is just such a baffoon. He has insulted lots of people including US allies. While he speaks for some people he clearly does not speak for all everyone, or even seem to want to try.

He's probably a great business deal maker - granted - but you have to admit that politics, especially being a President, needs a lot more finesse, and careful wording, and diplomacy.

If Trump actually wins the presidency, here is what I think will happen: Nothing. None of his wild ideas will ever come to light, and the US government will be run only by the senate and the house. Trump will be powerless. His VP will basically run the show, just like Chenney did for George W Bush, and just like Poppy Bush for Regan.

Trump won't make it to the general -- and if he does, there's enough good people out there not susceptible to fear mongering to keep him out of office and send him back to his hole where he can plan more ways to grab attention.

That is up for debate. But one thing is for sure...the last few decades have seen our country run by politicians who had NO thought in mind of the people.

And it has screwed our country up.

Everything was leading to us invading other countries without declaring war.

It was tried in Vietnam first...but that didn't work. This time all it took was an act of terror to push it through. And now we live in a time where the media tells the American people that our govt. has the right to tell other govt.'s how to rule and if they don't obey us...we will bomb them.

I think that history will not look kindly on the USA in the future. That's not an indictment of me or the rest of the citizens. It's an indictment of the Federal Govt. and it's shady dealings.

You can't blame people for looking for some way...ANY way to stop it.

Trump is a unicorn. What he is doing has never been done before. There is literally nobody out there with the ability to do what he is doing.

As much as you don't like Trump, you have to admit that what he is doing is a once in history thing.

A man that isn't controlled by any special interests? It's impossible. EXCEPT in the case of Trump.

That is what he has tapped into. Not "racism". Not "hate".

That's not what is driving this.

It's the PEOPLE finally rising up against the establishment.

The media is in full panic.
I'm watching CNN yesterday. And the news anchor has a Trump supporter on with her. She asks why Trump is "attacking" the "beloved" former Pres. Clinton.
The lady Trump supporter pointed out that Trump was RESPONDING to Hillary calling him sexist by pointing out that Hillary herself attacked all of Bill's victims and had an entire team working during the 1990's to suppress them and slut shame them in the media.

The CNN reporter "replied" to that by showing a new picture of Hillary and her family (Bill, Chelsea, her husband, and baby) and asking the Trump supporter:
"Will Donald Trump attack Chelsea next?"
And in big letters on the screen it read: "Trump to attack Chelsea next?"

WTF?

That is just pathetic "journalism" and "reporting".

And it just shows how desperate the big super donors are for the media to take Trump out.

I am very concerned re: a Hillary white house.

One look at her donors, all big banks and corps, combined with her hawkish views on war.

I would never vote for her.

You mean the Latino vote and by all account its entirely inconsequential in the upcoming election.

Where large blocks of Latinos are/large groups of electoral college voters are, are not swing states, and swing states don't have large blocks of Latino voters/electoral college voters.
