Verotel not paying

Has anybody else experienced problems with Verotel's customer service, and getting paid?

I closed my site 6 months ago and they have about $1000 of my money. I was told to wait 6 months before they could pay me.
I emailed them almost 10 days ago asking for my money, and I have not received a reply from them.
It seems as though they're trying to ignore me. Hope some of you can help shed some light, and whether you've been in a similar situation.

Check that your payment settings are correct, in particular, your trigger amount.

I had the same issue but it turned out that they don't automatically release the final payment. I had to set my trigger level lower.

I hope you do get paid. My experience is that Verotel do not pay, but your mileage may (and hopefully will) vary.

Not really.

When I had a PP account closed, they tried to hold it 6 months. When some of the processors in adult have failed over the years, it was 6 months. Close a merchant account, 6 months. You are starting to see a pattern here right? I am not saying ALL hold it 6 months, but my point is that it is not uncommon. This is done for their protection against chargebacks.

I've been with Verotel over 10 years, and never had any major issues with them beyond slow support at times.

I'll keep you posted. It just seems odd that I hear nothing from them, after repeated emails, and even an email to Mike from Verotel who posts on this site too.

Have you contacted Jason before starting a thread like this? If you need his contact info let me know.

I have always been paid by Verotel, and continue to be every week, never a missed payment or a late payment.

That would be great, thank you. Can you PM it to me?

I don't want to give Verotel a bad name unjustly if I can avoid it. I just want to get my money that they owe me.

Really? Then why didn't you try contacting them properly instead of crying like a little girl?

They are quite professional and have been around for decades. I have personally used them for 15 years or so and they have never missed one payment - NEVER - and I am talking weekly payouts so that means around 780 payments on time and accurate.

I'm really happy for your experience. However I'm not being unreasonable. It's been over 10 days since I contacted merchant support at Verotel and they have not responded. I emailed Mikey.de****@verotel.com last week too. I have just emailed [email protected] now as he requested in his post. There is a phone number online for Verotel which I also called but it would not connect after repeated attempts. I have been making fair efforts to contact them and this forum was my last option. Thank you all for your advice.

After I (finally) received the email this morning (it seems it was sent to mikey@verotel instead of mike@verotel...) our merchant support department inmediately looked at the current status and replied/solved this matter before 11am (GMT+1) this morning. So far we haven't receive a reply...

The following happened:
At Verotel we offer the service to let our merchants choose their pay out schedule. It means they can decide if they want to get paid out weekly, monthly etc. It often happens that the merchant forgot about these settings and doesn't remember when he or she actually is suppose to receive their payment.
In this case the schedule was set to monthly pay outs the by merchant.
This means he still has to wait a few more weeks, or simply log in and change the schedule back to weekly pay outs.

It would have been nice if Paulsmith have kept us up to date like he promised in his previous post. Perhaps this will follow later.. But I already waited almost 12 hours to post this so I would give him some time to do so..

Starting a thread about a payment company that does not pay is something we do not take lightly in the Payment industry and is something that can seriously hurts your business.

We can assure that Verotel never missed a single payment since 1998. I do agree that we could have answered his email a bit faster. But next time please contact us directly as everyone here on this forum knows how to find us!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!!

What happened was actually quite simple. At Verotel we offer the service to let our merchants choose their pay out schedule. So they can decide if they want to get paid out weekly, monthly etc.
In this particular case the schedule was set to monthly by the merchant himself which means he still has to wait a few more weeks before the pay out. Or simply log in and adjust the schedule to weekly.

I really hoped that PaulSmith would have kept you up to date like he promised in his previous post. Starting a thread about a payment company that does not pay is something we do not take lightly at Verotel and it would have been nice if he would have explained here what actually happened...

Perhaps this still comes but in the meantime we can assure that Verotel never missed a single payment since 1998. I do agree that we could have answered his email a bit faster. But next time please contact us directly as everyone here on this forum knows how to find us!

Hi and thanks for your response. My actions were not unreasonable and I sent two emails also to [email protected]. I did not receive a response from them for 10 days.
I understand that you're a busy company and, as a (now former, on good terms) customer of yours, I expected a quicker response. It is not unusual for one to suspect the worst when money is owed and attempts at contacting the party are unsuccessful.

I received a comprehensive explanatory email from Mike today, explaining the situation in a slightly different way but I see no point in drawing any attention to this.

I will post again once payment is received so that everybody here can reaffirm the superlative Verotel payment record.

It is meaningless to claim that you've never missed a payment and then add on except for when you did miss payments.

You story on why Verotel would bizarrely choose not to pay me but pay 100% of its bills otherwise is what?

I'm sure Verotel is not a deadbeat on all its bills, but, in my experience, people who steal from one person will steal from more than one person. It is just a question of character. Others' mileage may vary, but I doubt I'm the only person to ever have a bad experience where Verotel failed to pay.

They closed my account and kept my money. It was only a couple hundred bucks so I didn't sweat it. I just stopped doing business with them ever again. This was many years ago, but still they are tainted to me. Before you start processing or sending traffic to third party billers, do some research.

Sorry Paul, perhaps you send it to [email protected] again or it might ended up in my spambox. Either way I cannot seem to find it. Could you pls send it to [email protected]

Thanks Mike. I had emailed your [email protected] address but maybe it went into your spam folder. Either way, I've just emailed you again.

I know but I emailed 2.5-3 weeks ago and got no response so I felt like I had no alternative.

You're trolling.

When you check the dates involved and the actual details you might add something constructive. I'm sure there are other threads with which you can share your wisdom in the meantime.

Hi Paul,

Received your mail and forwarded it to the responsible department. I think it will be no problem to help you with this!

No I am not trolling.. but the facts you posted in OP made me think that you made a mistake by opening a thread just because you sent out one single email and got no reply. Verotel is not a noname company who hides to avoid paying out $1k... I guess it's resolved meanwhile, so it makes no sense to argue about it anymore.. In such a case I would have tried multiple emails / icq / skype / phone call / support ticket system, whatever, before I open such a thread.

Sorry if you take this as trolling.

Read the thread from A-Z . You need to admit it took long time to learn his name and email the proper address.. Happy to see you got your $$$

It seems as though they're trying to ignore me. Hope some of you can help shed some light, and whether you've been in a similar situation.
Why not wait 6 month like they told you?

It's a standard bank rolling reserve thing. If you close your program and want out immediately.

Did you even read the details???

The very words you quote show that I did the thing you are saying I did not do.

I received a response from Verotel and they solved my issue very quickly.

Verotel have always provided an excellent, reliable service - with one exception: it took my posting here to get my emails answered. Maybe it's just me but my emails went unanswered for 1-2-3 weeks and then, once I post here, the problem gets solved - immediately.

Again, I recommend Verotel highly but I have to offer them my constructive criticism where possible in the hopes that the great service they provide can become even greater.

Thank you Mike, et al.
