promoting webcam models these days? Take this profile for example, https://chaturbate.com/myrabbelle_hot/ and note the capitalisation "INCLUDING BY CHATURBATE AFFILIATES" now, I don't use any pics etc. of models, I embed a tweet along with a blurb. This declaration here, states use of my profile... WTF does that mean? I've just been through my site and deleted every post which references a model who has this type of disclaimer in their profile.

The best solution to this nonsense is for webcam sites to provide affiliate zips of models who wish to be promoted. As it stands, it's a mess.

I think you do have a point.

Webcam sites should offer models the option to opt in or out of being promoted direct.

Then those who opt to be promoted should have the option to upload there own pics or vids they wish you (as an affiliate) to promote her/him with.

If I was a webcam model (and I have done it with a friend) I would not be happy if someone saved my webcam shows, after all I may wish to record them myself and re-sell them. In fact I see my shows no different than any content within a members area of a site.

I would think it simply to implement on these sites an option for webcam models to upload content that THEY wish you to use.

I know some may not wish to be promoted for there own reasons.

Exactly, same as an adult affiliate website. I'm not even that interested in a clip, just a pic or two as you get with most adult affiliate programs.

Otherwise you risk a DMCA (or worse) for simply trying to promote a cam model.

I agree. This should be up to the cam program to allow models to opt in or out. Another issue for models is that they can block their country from viewing them so their families or friends don't find out they are cam models. Having affiliates spread pics/videos around of them violates that privacy. The programs should provide the content or make clear which models can be used for promos.

Yes

After all, the webcam model is simply using the site as a tool.

Some webcam models are only wanting to use such sites to chat with friends. They do not wish to be promoted.

It should be down to the webcam model to opt in or out.

It could be that the webcam site could even give the webcam model a % of sales generated by the affiliate. Such as 5%.

Done correct this could or should provide a good working partnership between webcam models and affiliates.

To be honest, I think they may have to as I know some models on another site have talked about leaving as they have found there shows on other sites. The way they see it, is that they have done the work, but someone else is promoting the main site with content they and yet they get no money from it.

The truth is, models can move sites with ease. And in doing so take customers away fro one site to another.

Most models wouldn't allow for their content to be used for promotion. They make enough from the site traffic anyway. Even though, I know from both modelling & promoting, without affiliates, the site wouldn't have any traffic anyway

I've always used my real name & shared my photos & profiles, when asked on sites like adultwork.

Many other models have their faces concealed, used pseudonyms & do not like other people using their images, even for traffic... if only they understood, the only way of traffic to a website is through affiliates & showing images.

To be honest, I wasn't ever promoting that model. I used that profile as an example of the disclaimers used by cam models in general. The capitalised text in particular. As for contacting models directly, no I haven't, nor would it be worth my time to compose a request that would likely just be ignored. Think about it, if you had to contact a porn star for permission to use a pic every single time... No, that doesn't happen. The program gives you a few samples of approved content to work with.
