If you want to know what a mac is then just install Ubuntu on your PC.
It's the exact same piece of shit.
You will not be able to tell the difference except the icon tray is vertical instead of horizontal.

The entire experience is a "store"; you are asked to put in your credit card as soon as

What are you talking about? Ubuntu is an operating system, while iMac is just a PC brand (one of many like Asus, Lenovo etc).

We ordered one through the website for the wife. We got up and running. Nice box, nice product. However, when it came to actually using it, it's ass backwards to me. I was just trying to think of how to do the most basic tasks and how to replicate them on Mac.

Bottom line, I didn't want to relearn how to use it and just returned it. It might be good for someone, but for me it caused more issues than solved. Wife agreed and was smart about returning it.

What? You can plug a mic or a mic/headphone combo into the 1/8 inch multifunction audio on the back. See:

I hooked Presonus mic up to this mac and it fucked up hard.
I got ridiculous latency and weird "double tracking" with second track delayed by 2-3 seconds.

However, when it came to actually using it, it's ass backwards to me. I was just trying to think of how to do the most basic tasks and how to replicate them on Mac. Bottom line, I didn't want to relearn how to use it and just returned it. It might be good for someone, but for me it caused more issues than solved. Wife agreed and was smart about returning it.

Strange comparison. I use all three operating systems and when it comes to productivity, I can move around a Mac much faster.
