Facebook ads waste of money!

Facebook does have good traffic but it appears they flood either shit traffic or fake traffic towards the end of the night before midnight to make sure you hit your daily budget! Prior to midnight my CTR was 6% at 11pm till midnight it was around 0% with 20,000 views and zero clicks, down from 6% CTR. I'm so fucking pissed and those assholes have zero support, theirs no way to contact them!!! Seems like a scam they can do whatever the fuck they want without offering any kind of support other than some stupid user forum but no internal FB reps to answer questions about your account!!!!

I don't know if there is fake traffic involved or not. What I do know is I'm VERY happy with the FB ad results I get. I also know that there are ways to contact Facebook. I even have a dedicated representative I can contact directly when I need something done or questions answered.

Maybe you should spend your time finding solutions instead of posting false shit on GFY.

I own an offline business and facebook its pretty good to bring in new costumers/ sales.

There are some tricks to it. It's been a few months since I ran a campaign but there is a way to stop that. If I remember correctly I kept modifying my campaign trying to get even better results, increasing my budget and that's what caused it. Instead you have to stop that campaign and start a new. I don't think it was so much the campaign mods as it was the increasing the budget. More or less if you increase the budget it figures it from the original start time and at the end they will expand the campaign to use your budget. Again I think I remember that correctly.

I waited over 8 hours to get a generic bullshit response from one of there team members that didn't look into my account:

Based on reading your post, I'd have to say that they way YOU ran your campaigns is what caused the issue. Unless I'm understanding you incorrectly, it seems you would want to modify your Ad Set and let FB monitor and place the ads in that set accordingly using the same budget. No budget increase required. Just design different ads, keep them in the same Ad Set and FB will display the successful ads more often. At that point, you can shut off the less successful ads but your budget always remains the same.

I see their system as a way to weed out the idiots, not as one being ran by idiots. Everybody and their Mother wants to use FB to sell their widgets and thinks it's a piece of cake. The problem is, it's not an "idiot proof" platform and the world is full of impatient idiots who want instant gratification but won't put in the time and effort to learn the system. Kinda like affiliates who want hosted FHG's and all the other shit instead of being real webmasters.

This is why some companies pay other companies to run their ad campaigns for them. Some people get it or have the interest in learning it while others get easily frustrated when they can't figure it out. They are the only advertising company on this planet who offers no support for advertisers. That doesn't make me stupid. I spent hours making my ads, I read all of their instructions, I doubt it there was something I missed but it would be helpful if they had someone looking into the issue or at least tell me what happened so I can make a correction.

I have zero issues with Twitter, Adwords, Bing Ads, Reddit or anyone else. They all have support. Facebook is the only company with no support

My main issue is with their lack support. I don't count a self help user forum as support. They have no support personal who helps anyone when they have a problem.

Based on what you've posted in this thread, you've selected the following option for your Ad Set to Bid Amount: "Automatic - Let Facebook set the bid...."

I've seen the kind of surges you're talking about and they usually happen when there are fewer ads running at whatever given time the increase happens. So, your ad cost drops AND it's shown to more people. Supply & demand.

Also, I hear you talking only about clicks. Are you using a proper Facebook Pixel to track everything or did you skip the pixel and are relying on FB data only? Maybe you have an old pixel installed that isn't tracking properly? Fuck if I know. I can't put much stock in anything you've posted though since I know your primary gripe is inaccurate.

You say you've "...set the campaign to run evenly throughout the day." but ad campaigns can't be set like that. Ad Sets can though which leads me to believe you don't know or understand the difference even though you've "read all of their instructions" etc...

Lastly, if you've "micro-targeted EVERYTHING" as you claim, there's no way you got 20k impressions between 11pm and midnight the same day...Unless you're spending a stupid amount of money on an ad that hasn't proven itself...In which case you'd be an idiot for that too.

Facebook/Instagram traffic is great for non adult products. The only issue I've found is the advertising platform lacks a lot of real tracking ability when it comes to traffic source.
