Ford create 700 jobs & open 700m plant in US & not Mexico
Ford have announced the investment in a Michigan plant, creating 700 jobs, costing 700million instead of the 1.6billion plant in Mexico. The main reason was not Trump, but a marketing demand.
Ford CEO: Main reason for canceling Mexico plant was market demand, not Trump are you sure it wasn't because it was half the cost or because the advertising with the harsh criticism from Trump?

I read that article -- it's a business decision.
Ford doesn't see Mexico as that hot of a domestic nor export manufacturing market. UAW workers keep their jobs -- how many new hires is not stated |

So far everything Trump is trying to take credit for is pure bullshit. With the Carrier deal it cost us $7 million and more jobs went to Mexico than was saved. With Sprint it seems they made that decision in October, longer before Trumpy was elected.
Lets see where unemployment stands a year from now.

In America we need at least 145,000 New jobs a month to sustain a healthy economy. This Mickey mouse shit of a few hundred jobs here and there is petty on Trumps part. If he's not winning the war, pointing out all these battles he's taking credit for only strokes his ego and temporarily placates his base.

Ford cancels Mexico plant. Will create 700 U.S. jobs in 'vote of confidence' in Trump - Jan. 3, 2017
CNN have added "a vote of confidence in Trump". When will the reality land & people can see through the crap everything Trump says is bullshit. Worrying for the US, because things can get a lot worse in a year

1. create is not a NEW HIRE in auto union lingo.
Moving a worker from the old plant to the new plant is not a new hire. It's vacating the old job and getting a new job with the same employer. 123,688,600 was the net employment gain in the 12 mos ending Nov, 2016 So, the 145K number is for a larger employment rate. We are at <5% statistical employment "The national unemployment rate was 4.6 percent in November, down from 4.9 percent in October, and 0.4 percentage point lower than in November 2015." We are at full employment. You can argue until you are blue in the face that the jobs are no good ... You need to replace what jobs can be replaced by automation to have the workforce to move into new jobs. The people that are not working now are the hard core unemployed or those that don't want to work (or retired). Some are in limbo looking for new jobs. Getting rid of street sweeping machines and putting welfare recipients on the street with brooms is not going to be economically advantageous. The economy will not grow without new workers. Those new workers will be machines. Most of this is just a bag of shit brought to you by the media and the politicians. |

Currently not only do Mexican built BMW's utilize Mexican parts, but the Mexican suppliers of BMW de Mexico now supply parts for BMWs sold in the mainstream international market.[10] In 2010, BMW AG of Germany announced plans to invest $1 billion USD into Mexican auto parts suppliers to increase the supply of Mexican built parts and increase the overall percentage of Mexican components in BMW vehicles.[11] In 2012 BMW revealed plans to build a new plant in Mexico.[12][13][14] BMW de Mexico currently builds the 3 series, 5 series, 7 series and the X5. BMW de Mexico also manufactures armored high security vehicles, manufactures parts for domestic and foreign markets, maintains a large repair and service facility and a school for international BMW personnel.[15][16][17] In 2001 the Italian government purchased 30 armored BMW sedans for the Italian national police from BMW de Mexico.[18] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_Mexico |

(How long before trump claims credit for this? I predict he does in 5 ..4.. 3...) It's also cool because they will be making 4 or 5 different electric cars at this plant, including - WOW - a MUSTANG HYBRID!!! - That is really something. I've always been a Firebird / Camaro enthusiast and would love to see an electric Camaro one day, but I'll settle for a Mustang EV no problem!

No not yet, but to his credit, Ford's statement says they believe in a Trump economy or something like that. Regardless, this is really good news. Go Ford!

Then add in the tax rate for corporations. Trump lowers it from 35% to 15% So that's already saving 55% as opposed to Mexico's 40% savings. Then add in the elimination of some of the regulatory restrictions that have been put in place over the past 8 years. Ford will be making MORE money by building in the U.S. under Trump. That's the whole point. Make the United States the number one place to put your business and build your products. |

The base tax rate is 35% they paid 15%. Meaning as you said they didn't pay 20% of their actual tax debt. Now drop that tax rate to 15% "BEFORE" deductions and now they are paying zero fucking taxes. This is the big busines coup of the USA under the Trump admin, this is what Republicans have been pushing for since Reagan. They want the 1% and big business to pay zero taxes and push the entire burden on to the workingman.. Robbie is of course 100% ok with this as are all the other GFY Russians (I mean Republicans).. Because.. rah, rah fuck the country GOOOO TEAM!!! They will bankrupt the US but they don't care.. They can't think past 5 mins in the future.. |

New jobs created, new investment in Michigan. Companies that service the employees: restaurants, bars, gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores, etc. all making more money and hiring new employees themselves to handle the extra business. All of that creates revenue that will be taxed. What's the use of taxing Ford 35% of nothing as opposed to taxing them 15% of a company building in the U.S. plus the expanded tax base that will be created? Don't we WANT companies to build and hire in the U.S.? The alternative is what we've had for the last couple of decades as company's have fled the U.S. for greener pastures. The U.S. should BE the greenest pasture of them all...right? |

The tax rate he promised was eliminating corporate taxes completely - again I dont think the congress will support that Regulatory restrictions I would assume are only going to get pushed if it would help his own businesses. Might take a minute and look back at what happened when Obama put a massive tariff on Chinese tire imports 2009? I think...the rest of the world responded and we import more tires now than then...otherwise the price of tires would have skyrocketed |

Trump is starting at a 35% tariff ONLY on companies who are U.S. based but closed down a plant in the U.S. to open one in another country. And that tariff would only apply to the product in question. Not a blanket tariff on all products from all companies overseas. And I've never heard him say that he was going to put corporate rates at zero. He MIGHT have said that's where they should be. And a lot of economists agree. But he has said since the campaign that it will be 15% As for regulatory restrictions that would help his own businesses? WTF? I thought that everyone on GFY all claimed that Trump didn't do ANYTHING and only "slapped his name on other people's stuff" (as Obama claimed). Reality Check: Bill FORD himself said that the regulatory policy of Trump is a huge factor in their decision today. I heard him say it out of his own mouth in an interview with Poppy Harlow today on CNN. So explain to me how building cars is part of Trump's personal business? It's not. And I think you are missing the reality here because you are pissed that Trump won over Hillary. I'm telling you...I am VERY optimistic for all of our businesses. The economy is going to take off. |

When Obama took office, frankly things couldn't get much worse. Things didn't get better because Obama was "great" but instead they got better because they couldn't get much worse. The direct opposite is going to be true shortly. We are at 4.6% unemployment, which is great. Unemployment hasn't been this low since what - 2001? Trump is going to come in and change everything up thinking he knows best and.... Lets see what the unemployment rate is this time next year.

Euro-Area Economy Ended Year With Fastest Growth Since 2011|Bloomberg.com Reagan was took office in 1981, albeit inheriting a weak economy, the 1981-1983 recession was very deep. Reaganomics and Regan's nationalist policies had mixed results. Reagan's foreign policy positions did not make America many friends in the world. Like Trump; Regan was a turncoat polititian -- a Republican of convenience or a 'born again' Republican depending on your point-of-view. Regan is 'god-like' to a lot of people especially those who are too young to remember what America was like during the bleeding of the jobless during the 1981-1983 recession. I think if there is a Trump recession I am hoping it will be a brief and shallow one. I expect a Wall Street slaughter and I am looking forward to buying distressed assets. This is the historical pattern I have seen -- sheer the sheep and buy them out on the cheap |

No one can say it's about jobs, only in November Obama posted : @BarackObama 4 Nov 2016 Let's keep working to keep our economy on a better, stronger course. what's Trump got against the Mexicans? He seems to have a vendetta against them
