Stocks notch record close as Trump promises 'big league' tax announcement

Good job Trumpy.

U.S. equities rallied on Thursday after President Donald Trump said he would give an announcement regarding taxes in the next few weeks.

"Lowering the overall tax burden on American business is big league ... that's coming along very well. We're way ahead of schedule, I believe. And we're going to announce something I would say over the next two or three weeks that will be phenomenal in terms of tax," Trump said in a meeting with U.S. airline executives.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose around 115 points, with Goldman Sachs contributing the most gains.

"It's almost a resumption of the Trump trade," said Matt Weller, senior market analyst at Faraday Research. "In his acceptance speech, Trump talked about infrastructure and deregulation, but in recent weeks he'd gotten away from that."

"This is sort of reigniting those animal spirits," he said.

The S&P 500 advanced about 0.6 percent, with financials rising 1.4 percent, hitting a new all-time high. The Nasdaq composite also hit a fresh all-time high, rising 0.6 percent.

"I think it's a combination of investors feeling more confident that some tax package will get worked on. But I think that we also have lower interest rates recently and solid earnings," said Kate Warne, investment strategist at Edward Jones.

Hmmm....lower taxes in a major way but yet build a border wall, pump up our "depleted" military, save the veteran's department, build new roads and bridges and a bunch of other promises. What other magic tricks can he pull out of his ass?

He's going to use the good ol american credit card with no limits. Then cut spending on programs to benefit the poor and middle class

Then it will all come crashing down like it did a few years ago. and the taxpayer will have to pay for it again

the point is that this american cc is not unlimited and this is what the trumpoliners do not get in their small heads. they do not know how americas "living over the limit" has impact on all that and where america really is today (and why)

the politicical road map of the guy with the implanted weazel on his head is the same as he does in his private business. he lends money and than he search for ways not to pay it back.

amercia owes money to the whole world and is the country with the most depts.
the so called enemies (especially the new ones) are the countries US owes the most money. us owes a lot to china and russia too. and this is trumps calculation: getting a loan and when it is time to pay it back sue the bank.
this is what he have done ALL his life and what he tries with america.
