Why does HBO produce great dramas and ones that appeal to the lowest common denominator?
I'm watching Game of Thrones and binge watching it the only way. Up to 10 different story lines, over 7 in most episodes makes it essential to keep the level of thinking one has to put into watching very low. Bad acting, cut and paste characters, scenes and if you miss 5 minutes no worries you can catch up in the next episode. If I had to watch it once a week through the entire lot, I wouldn't bother. |
