Fences, Moonlight look like boring films only there because they're black. Never saw them because of that. Captain Fantastic never heard of it.
La La Land was over-hyped crap that would work better on stage with actors who could dance and sing. Manchester by the Sea looked depressing so gave it a miss. Hacksaw Ridge, Arrival, Hidden Figures, Collateral Damage and Lion were awesome films that beat anything above int a cocked hat. This year's winners and nominees prove the power of the media. |
