Working and sport

Anybody works at home in front of a pc and also does some sport, lets say running? Is it better to run in the morning, like 5 km and work after that, or maybe run in the evening after a full day of work? If the second one, is it ok to drink coffee (like 2, not very strong) during the day? Or maybe you know somebody who knows and you could ask (somebody with an edu like this or something like that)?

you only need 39 min for a full workout...10x3min heavy bag with 1 min breaks in between...do it in the morning it will up your metabolism for the rest of the day...

I've never ran before work but i used to swim about 2 or 3 km's in the morning and i felt it kept me pretty centred and relaxed throughout the day great for stress, running could probably do the same. I usually ran at night and that always helped with sleep, sleep was a tough thing for me at one point.

Coffee is harmless for the most part, however too much will effect sleep. How much varies as regular coffee you can have 2 or 3 and be fine if you don't drink it later in the day, but if its starbucks, mcdonalds or tim hortons or any of those chains these days they triple up the caffeine in those now so its not the same and 3 a day can dose you with caffeine late into the evenings--remember caffeine stays in your system for 12 hours.

I don't want to be doing anything else other than walking (for now) and then running. I could do the swimming as I used to do it but it takes too much effort for right now (get there, pay for an entry, change the clothes, be washing them and so on). I've been spending too much time in front of a pc for the last 6 years and I want to add the running part to that, like 5 km per day, could be more later on. A professional person from a gym told me that the coffee is ok but I had a feeling that I should ask and this may have some negative effects, I am not sure (blood pressure and running after six years of inactivity or other things like that). It basically does not sound like 100% good thing, out of a common sense, but it should not be. I want to devote max amount of time to working as this is the most important thing, and like I said factor in that running part into that. If the coffee part is ok, I can figure it out by myself, based on what I want to do. Morning could be better, I am not sure... Then you don't have to think about this running at the end of the day and you also have the positive effects of the running throughout the day... (like endorphins and so on). I am not familiar with these topics, education wise so I am not sure.

There are pro & cons of running in the morning or the evening. It depends...
If you go running in the in the morning your body burns calories faster on an empty stomach but since your your body temperature is low, your muscles are more stiff and so you’re more likely to injure yourself.
If you go running in the evening, you might get a better sleep at night but there is also the case of not be able to sleep after an evening run.
Either way, the best solution is to create a schedule and stick to it.

did you mean heart rate? Blood pressure is either high or it isn't, running doesn't effect it either way--if anything exercise helps. If it's high and you run that is not good, but the problem is you need to see a doctor to fix the high bp itself not the running.

Both. I run and play basketball in the morning, and then bike at night.

I never drink coffee.

I do a lot of sport. Had a couple of full marathons and tons of 21km run. Did enjoy playing tennis a few years back. Right now, I'm in to boxing and muay thai! It keeps me fit and at the same time a really good stress reliever. And yeah good for self defense too.

Coffee is suppose to be helping in working in front of a pc, lets say so it could be a good thing to add if you don't use that (one person mentioned that). If some people just sit in front of a pc for years you can really get sick out of not getting out of the house and moving and other things like that. Internet addiction, workaholism, things like that. If the weather is good it is better to get out of the house and be active once per day. If the weather is bad you can go to a gym, meet some people, things like this. Your overall work and health will be better this way. Internet addiction / workaholism "trap".

This probably works like this - you think that you work a lot and you are getting ahead but what is really happening is you are damaging your health (slowly, it does not happen in a year or three, or even five, but it does) and not making a progress that you could make while living a normal life (like sport, social contacts and so on). Activity is needed - this and good food are the most important things for good health.

Working 24/7 and making $0.10 per day. I am there now It seems like I may be doing something wrong, overall, but I am expecting to wait like three years of working before I could see any results (I only work 1+ year on my own site, good quality, longer term thing). I also want to do the programming later on, probably as the main thing. But basically sites is what I am working on at this point (starting). This is planned to be something like porn.com, DefineBabe.com and so on.

i work in an office. i have my kettlebell at home. sit-ups can be done pretty much any time. i walk everywhere. when i'm hyper i have a session both in the morning and in the evening, otherwise it's 1 session, either this or that.

best workout - IF weight loss is your prio - is keeping your heart rate up for 40+ minutes with steadily moving, be it jogging, cycling, swimming or walking quick.

running is good if you are not overweighted, otherwise it can ruin your tendons. believe me, it's not nice.

I would like to love running, but so far I am not doing great. BUT I play basketball, ride a bike, hit the gym from time to time. Good luck and remember discipline always beats motivation imho!

Don't continue that. You are in a trap. Internet addiction / workaholism, you may be thinking that you are moving forward but you may not be making any good progress and you are slowly damaging your health. Activity is a needed part here, I think. Activity / good food are the most important factors for good health. If the weather is nice get out of the house and walk (or run, but later on, too early you can injure yourself) and if it is not go to the gym. This is what I started doing and I am sure that it will be paying off. I noticed that the thinking is better already, not really or only as related to work. I spent like six years like that and it was a mistake. I could have been on a different, better path, I think, at this point (nothing extremely better, but it could be as the sport is very good [better life, all aspects, overall]).
