Almost half of Trump?s Twitter followers appear to be fake

So is Trump actually buying new followers? We'll probably never know, but there seems to be nothing more important to Trump than how his fame relates to that of other public figures, and it can't sit well with the president that there are currently 31 accounts with more followers than his. One of those accounts is that of Barack Obama, which boasts a whopping 89 million followers, good for third-most in the world behind Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

In case you're wondering, 79 percent of Obama's followers are real.

My twitter account could likely be considered "fake" because I've had it for years and never really used it also no real personal info. I don't follow Trump or anyone else for that matter but if I did mine would be one of those "fake" accounts. I honestly don't think Obama really cares that much that Trump won. Would he have rather Clinton won? Sure, but I think he would have rather had that more as a legacy thing for himself than actually wanting her to win. Pretty much anyone can buy fakes for any Twitter account. It could have been a journalist looking for a story or a pro-Trump group. It could have been him, but I think his people would be smart enough to not do that knowing it could come back to bite them and I doubt he understands you can even do that.

My guess is that it is a group that likes him and thinks this will somehow get him more credibility.
