It's low to mid 70's here with a nice breeze. Beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest.

I kinda miss the Northwest. I grew up in Vancouver, Wa. I loved all the nature everywhere, wild cherry, apple & plum trees so awesome

I'm not too far from there. I live about 10 minutes south of Portland. Something I love is that we have all four seasons and you are only 90 minutes from mountains, beach, or desert.

I'll never forget watching Mt. St. Helens blow up in 1980 and all the ash coming down. We used to walk across the I5 bridge to Jantzen Beach mall and have Sunday brunch at the Red Lion.

I loved all the seasons there too, especially fall, it was so cozy everywhere and some winter's you'd get some real good snow and ice storms good times. Good you live outside Portland too

I was a kid when Mr. St. Helens erupted and remember how it looked like it was snowing as the ash came down. About a week later we went to Los Angeles to visit some relatives. My cousin is a teacher and wanted us to bring some ash so she could take it in and show it to her kids. We collected a big jar of it and took it with us. My aunt thought we should sell it at the local flea market so we separated it into a bunch of small jars and got a table. We sold them for $10 a jar and sold out within a few hours. My mom was very happy because the ash ended up paying for the entire trip.

Oh yeah everyone was scooping up that ash for memorobilia. You remember old man Truman on the mountain? Made a legend of himself refusing to leave his house with all his cats and they all blew up when St. Helens blew her top

I do remember that. It was the top story on the news every day leading up to the eruption. It was pretty wild.
