Pretty much exactly this. I used to be on and off the board all the time, years ago, but now the arguments and trolling aren't even clever. Simply vulgar insults thrown out with no thought as to context, wit, or applicability.

Basically it has become political mudslinging from both sides, accompanied by mindless insults at about the level of 8 year old children.

I still check in maybe 2 times a month, pretty much out of nostalgia, (funny that I checked in today!), but unfortunately the old place doesn't seem even relevant anymore.

Over the years, the affiliate part of the adult business shrunk drastically - with tubes the old traffic sources that used to send big amounts of traffic (mainly TGPs) all died. They were largely dependent on affiliates submitting galleries while tubes are not. Internet is cheap and everywhere.. so anyone can upload content these days.

The massive affiliate base consisting of average Joes died with the old traffic sources. Those were the people discussing tactics and sharing results on boards. With a lot of ways of promoting porn there was naturally a lot to talk about..

Now the only affiliates that matter are tubes, review sites, discount sites and a handful of old schoolers who still run freesites with good Google ranks. No wonder the traffic on adult boards descreased, it just reflects the state of the affiliate business.
